😂🤣 “Not now Carol.”
I’m fucking crying laughing. Carol is definitely trying to kill us.
I don't need sleep, I need ANSWERS
You and me both, You And Me Both.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who needed a drink after seeing all my boyfriends, including Lestats' voice in pain. Every single person deserves an Emmy. Even the designer of the zen box deserves an Emmy.
It is so ON next Sunday.
Back to my triggered emotions 😢
I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessing over that piano😂
Absolutely GENIUS in it's simplicity, I simply cannot
Dude, me too, so good!!! And it reminds me of another score, but with two notes that come and go, higher and lower pitch versions, but I can't remember where it's from and it's driving me INSAAAANE 😩
This show is so Emmy-worthy that it is a capitol-crime that the Emmys are sleeping on it.
Brittany "I'm okay. I'm normal. I'm fine. I'm calm, I'm calm."
Narrator's voice " Nothing was okay. Nothing was normal. Nothing was fine and no one was calm."
Luke Brandon Field as young Daniel IS SOOOOO GOOD! He's got Bogosian's mannerisms as Older Daniel DOWN TO A TEE! (Plus, I was super surprised to find he's British, as he's got the voice perfect too!) 😍
The acting on this show is absolutely incredible.
They were are unbelievably good this week, but someone needs to give Assad in particular all the awards right now! The way he can play half a dozen emotions all at once is just mesmerizing. The rage and pain and terror and desperation he tries to hide under a slipping mask of calm right after he saves Louis was so well done. And the raw, pleading pain underneath the anger, disdain, and unhinged jealousy he shows when questioning Danny about how to be fascinating made my heart ache.
I simply love how complex and multidimensional every character on this show gets to be!
Thank you for your reactions! It's a blast seeing someone else enjoying this show and responding to it with the same dazzled amazement I feel when I watch it!
I've been waiting for this videoooo this episode was INSANE
I LITERALLY just finished the episode and had to see if you´d posted your reaction. Damn. This, I think, might be my favorite episode so far. SO. EFFING. FCKED.
Apparently Jacob and Assad were told to treat their argument like a play and you can totally feel that. Come THROUGH theatre training 😭😭🙏
Luke Brandon Field played young Daniel last year. He's another fantastic British actor like Jacob, Delainey, Assad, Ben Daniels....hell even Sam worked a lot in England though he's dual British Australian. 😊❤
Jesus, what a few piano notes can do in a scene.....I was wicked on edge! When Daniel asked Louis the sex question, I too, also screamed then went quiet lol I think we're kindred spirits. I thought Luke Brandon Field & Eric Bogosian were actually related, amazing! I absolutely love how Daniel just seems not to care that he could die at any minute lol so he doesn't care how he talks to Louis. They were so cruel to each other. Boring, dull, beige, so hurtful. I think Louis has always been mentally crippled & never should have been turned. Yes, he drank from a drugged up Daniel so it all was in his system, talking to himself then going suicidal. God, that looked painful!!! His skin literally falling off his body. The make-up in this series is epic! The writing, the acting, the editing, everything! What is AMC doing, not promoting this show? These actors need to be recognized! So it definitely seems like Armand manipulated both of Louis & Daniel’s memories. Louis looked so pissed when Armand comes back, after his ‘lunch’. My new favorite episode! Sorry, I know I write novels but i can't help it, it's too exciting!
Easily my favorite episode of this season. They have done a fantastic job of showing Armand the way he's meant to be. He's such a complicated cat and I've always loved Armand. At the end when Daniel and Louie face Armand with identical knowing looks on their faces was just perfection. All of the actors killed in this episode. Really appreciate your reaction and commentary here.
I was so amped up from watching this episode that afterwards I couldn't sleep for 2 hours. I wanted to go do laps around my house. This was amazing. Felt like I was the one who spent the night doing coke.
Louis: And my dumb stupid ex was stupid and ugly and weak and lame and his piano playing SUCKED
Daniel high out of his mind: Mm preach it honey, you should go chop his dick off
The Louis and Armand dynamic got me craaaazyyyyy in this episode. How the power dynamic switches back and forth like a dang metronome. That there is true intimacy between them that's more obvious here than it has been all season, in their fight knowing the worst things to say to hurt each other. A 70 year long rebound that neither can leave, locked in resentment and grasping desperation because they really have nothing and no one else (And I want more horror movie Armand. His manner during his "fine" spiel while those discordant noises go over the soundtrack? Delicious.)
Also I will say that between this episode and the last I got my hands on a copy of Queen of the Damned from my library. To read one chapter. Because between episode 1 and 2 of this season I learned that something I thought was fun fanon speculation had actual textual basis from a condensed insanity of 50 pages in a thirteen book series that is next to never mentioned again outside those 50 pages. So naturally I had to read that. And when I tell you that certain word choices in this episode made me VIBRATE, I mean that.
I haven't read 'Queen of the Damned' since about 1991 when I was a senior in high school, but gods dammit, I really NEED to reread it again since this episode, especially 'Devil's Minion'. OMFG! I might need to go to my library too!
I am glad that we saw that argument and more or Armand because it further proves that both Armand and Louis are toxic. Louis is clearly not healthy enough to be in a new relationship and on more than one occasion that we have seen has called Armand by his slave name and Armand is going around changing memories so that he can control the situation.
The writing is so good part of me feels bad for both of them. Louis still traumatized over the past and Armand still having things that he loves manipulated and taken away from him by Lestat. This show is amazing.
My theory why Louis says "No", during the telepathy scene and even reaches out a hand to touch Armand's face, is that he does not want a jealous Armand to get weaponized and go after Lestat. Armand is so powerful and strong during this time still that he could hurt Lestat. He mollifies him and buoys Daniel up to last a lifetime with his "talk" so he can meet up with him later.
That f'ing piano note. I adore this show and this episode was top tier. So many questions but the one thing I'm currently fixated on is whether Armand was really talking to Lestat. Daniel obviously couldn't hear what was in Armand's head. And while Louis can, it didn't seem he could hear Lestat there. Which makes sense since he can't hear his maker generally. Or Armand was blocking it. Or just making it up to torture him. I don’t know. Was it real? What's real? Yup, going insane along with you and loving it.
Can you believe there are some idiots who said Assad casting was ‘pandering’ or ‘woke’ 🙄🙄🙄
"Now it makes sense why he keeps saying that he protects Louis from himself" but it doesn't explain why Armand apologizes for Louis's mean Behavior towards Daniel. He's almost very friendly and kind towards Daniel and just calm in the future versus the past. So that just lets me know that Armand definitely did Stalk Daniel after that encounter. Just like he did with Lestat and Louis. 🤔🤔🤔
I was wondering the same thing. From what we've seen, he should be more hostile to Daniel in the present, but maybe he just doesn't feel "threatened" by Daniel anymore, that's why he's cool with him? I don't know. I do hope there was more to their relationship, need me some Devil's Minion in the future!
@@alexie5201 I think that Daniel is going to be the new Claudia a bandage for a shitty marriage just like Lestat.
HELL YESS
You know it's a good episode when you're talking so much you nearly miss what is being said... 🤣
Nah, This lady is ridicules.
Just wait until the Mayfair Witches and the Talamasca get involved. The first season of the Mayfair Witches was just a set up - Julien Mayfair is primed to tell his story.
