This looks amazing. I would drop money on this any day of the week. There needs to be a petition to capcom to make this official and get it going, this looks great, esp being able to choose the camera angle. I need this in my life for sure.
This cannot be official, the work of these people is impressive, but it is not at the level of something that Capcon did at this time

The lack of a fixed/semi-fixed camera mode on RE2 Remake was it's biggest error imo

Honestly, if Capcom won't remake Resident Evil 1, it's about time somebody did. They started with RE2 (which was a great game, don't get me wrong), but they really should've remade the original and given it the same treatment as RE2R and RE4R. It's about time somebody did this, so I'm glad to see it.
@@sweetpeaches6957 okay, let's be honest here, the remaster or RE1 wasn't a proper remake. It was basically an update of the textures to be slightly higher definition, with not much substance. A remaster in pretty much every sense. Certainly not in the same vein as the proper remakes they've been giving to RE2 and RE4 (and RE3, but RE3R wasn't as good). I don't doubt for a single second that they could remake RE1 absolutely fantastically, even adding new things that enrich the experience. And the PS2 is CERTAINLY outdated by now. The gap between the PS2 and the PS5 is certainly worthy of note, and I'd argue about equal to the gap of PS1 to PS4. Even though the ps2 had a similar controller scheme to the PS5, the overall processing capabilities and in game control scheme just wasn't there.
Id buy this in a heartbeat!!! Always wanted re1 in this style.
And the fact they've catered to old and new fans alike is amazing
Yeah if they can keep the option for over the shoulder I would def get it. My biggest hangup with the earlier games was the weird camera angles.

They've already remade it with no cut content. This looks no better but is definitely better than Capcom could do in the present time since they ruined 2 3 and 4 demakes.

@@terry85mar dude the remake was bullshit, there wasn't that much improvement, the the graphics looked like final fantasy, the voice acting was shit and the dialogue was still horrible!!! after seeing how RE2 remake was handled I know they would do it even better than RE2 because that one was a masterpiece not that piece of shit Nintendo and Capcom pushed out

If they remade RE1, it should definitely be single player with Jill/Chris having separate scenarios, giving us an actual cannon ending. Play as Jill first that then unlocks Chris B scenario. We know they all survive. Let us actually see it.
That’s the plan. One linear ending with a zap system like OG RE2.
Although I wouldn't mind if they found a way to make it co op as well. Since the original RE1 was actually supposed to be 2 player game originally. It would be cool to have that option just to see what it would be like.
