This song is meant to be performed in a low voice since the original singer Tony Braxton is a Contralto.
What you are trying to explain about the difference in the quality of their voices is the distinct differences between a Mezzo (Julia) and a true Contralto (Diana), the people from the show had Julia sing low since Mezzos can reach very low notes and they made Diana sing EVEN lower than Tony Braxton her self.
This is not a competition, the concept of the show is the surprise duet between people that know each other, they can not recognize though with whom they sing with because until the wall lifts they hear the voice of their duet distorted in their earpieces, this is also a challenge because if you can not hear the tonality of your partner correctly you can't adjust your self too and that is why they get way better synergy when the wall lifts away, because they get to hear each other correctly.
As for Diana's belts go hear her sing the main theme of the movie "Dune", she belts the whole song tirelessly, i am sure you will be blown away by the sheer power of her voice.

The show is named DUET, not DUEL. It's a demonstration of the ability of two singers to make a harmonious collaboration even when they can't see or hear each other and have not rehearsed together. It's not a competition. Diana and Julia are friends. They met when they both participated in ShowMaskGoOn 2 years ago.

Привет из Солнечной Сибири из Омска!!! Это был лучший дуэт этого шоу ДУЭТЫ!!! Диана и Юлия уже давно подруги, ещё с ШоуМаскГоОн!!! Но в дуэте ещё ни разу не пели, но как же классно они звучат вместе, даже без подготовки и репетиции!!! Когда песня закончилась, ведущий Сергей Лазарев сказал, что когда Диана ещё была закрыта и начала петь, он подумал, что сама Тони Брэкстон приехала на шоу ДУЭТЫ!!! 😅 Спасибо за реакцию на наших красавиц Диану Анкудинову и Юлию Паршуту!!! 👍✌️🤘👸👸

Diana doesn’t have power in her voice and resonance?!!! I am actually at a loss of words at this statement of his so shocked m I at how wrong he is. The question should be who has more power in the voice than her? As if her belting in can’t help falling in love wasn’t powerful and shocking enough, go and watch her recent dune belting and do us the favour please and come back to retract this most inane and insane of statements
I didn't say she doesn't have the power or resonance, just that it isn't so booming. I have seen her performance of "Can't Help Falling in Love" and loved it's entirety, but I am not retracting any statements as the opinions I expressed remain the same. Her belts have the power, but it's not the kind of power that pushes me back or that rings in my ears. That is not a bad thing or a negative critique btw, so if you saw it that way it's a wrong way of seeing it. It was just a thing I noticed. That's it :)
Many people have asked you (including me)to react to her Dune belting at the hand zimmer concert. If that is not what you call power then I don’t know what is. The question I posed that who has more vocal power than her is a valid one which which you should answer especially after watching the dune video. I hope you have no issues in retracting or admitting you were wrong as we will be waiting for your Dune reaction and what you have to say. Everyone has their own opinions. Of course you can like Diana’s voice, not like it, like it in parts, would prefer more or less air,...that is entirely your prerogative. You could have said I hate the way she sang this song.
