Uninstall your blizzard client because thats what i had to to do in order to download the wow classic. 5. Reinstall the client and you should be able to find the wow classic download option in the drop bar.
I clicked the icon on my desktop first, just like you did. When it client popped up again after I closed it, the choice just magically appeared :D ty so much for this tutorial dad c;
So they have announced official system requirements for WoW Classic with 5GB free space, only to make me install 65GB regular client first? Seriously? :D
I have never plaid wow, or any Blizzard game for that matter. But I've decided to try Wow classic. I have no experience with Blizzard at all, but I gotta say, managing to download and play classic is a real pain in the ass.. For me it was not obvious at all that I had to download a wow launcher, to then choose classic in this dropdown menu as shown in the video. As for now I'm in the middle of downloading classic, but I have no idea if I have to download the regular wow as well (?) but I feel like i have to, as regular was 60+ gb, and classic only 4 gb.
Hello RSHoel. No, you don't need to install regular warcraft to play classic. They are separate games. Though if you've got the computer space and you own it, then it's worth playing modern World of Warcraft. So basically Classic World of Warcraft is a copy of the game when it first came out - so from about 2005. Lots of people play for nostalgia reasons, I really hope you enjoy the game!

I can't figure out how to get it to actually play. It says you can play up to level 20 for free, but then it says active game time is required..
