I was a primary teacher for 16 years, I now teach adult males in a prison. I’ve been enjoying your videos for a while and I’ve no doubt your a wonderful Mum. You have the perfect personality and traits for a primary school teacher. Have you ever considered it? Perhaps you could run a garden club for children, they would buzz off your enthusiasm and sense of humour. Thank you for the vids x
Love what you did to the strawberries. I had 12 to begin with, and now I have 35. You can do the same thing with the suckers from your tomatoes. Simply put them in water in a sunny spot. In a week or two, you will have new tomato plants. Happy gardening
'Rocky' is a beautiful cat, the head bumps and slow blinks are a sign of affection. I always wonder if the owner has seen your videos. I would love to see what my cat gets up to down the local allotment :D x
Beautiful potatoes, Emma! Poor Rocky, just wants some love and cuddles. Maybe hungry too, she's pretty skinny. The plots look amazing! The balls on the ends of the stakes are such a fun idea! Really joyous!
I use my yoghurt drink bottles on the tops of my canes. Your balls make your structure look really fun. Also cut my plastic milk cartons into strips for labels.
Awwww Rocky on your Cucumber 🥒 pallet was such a treat to watch 💕🐾 He seems to really like being outdoors, so his owner likely leaves his nails long for his protection and safe tree climbing. Those potatoes look gorgeous! Harvesting potatoes is such a joy 😍
Well done, Emma. I use paper clips to anchor my strawberry runners into the soil to transplant later. Just straighten them and bend one time. They work great and last for years. Love the vids. Keep them coming.
Emma, atip for you, and anyone else who is new to growing potatoes. . When potatoes flower, pick them off and do not allow them to go to seed as it draws energy away from the tuber harvest. Your plot is looking great. keep up the good work. How did the new wool slug deterrent work? Cheers. Happy gardening 🙂
Those balls are a bloody genius idea! I’m just sad my child has outgrown the ball pit and we got rid of it years ago. I might have to go and buy some balls just to put on the ends of my canes. They are just so joyful and practical! Also gives that 70s retro Sputnik vibe!
So glad you’re having a better day ❤. Love watching you even though I’ve been allotment gardening for 20 years! I understand all the ups and downs but it’s wonderful overall. I just wish I had a Rocky to talk to there😂. You’re doing so well!
If Rocky is an outside cat he needs sharp claws to defend himself from other cats and catch food like mice and birds. Cats love high ground. 1. they feel safe there no fox will harm them. 2 they see everything when they are higher.
This year I’ve made a mixture of garlic granules and chilli glakes and put these around the base of my pumpkins… so far no slug damage! Give it a try! The allotment is looking gorgeous Emma! ❤
Hi Emma, glad to see you’re doing better. Enjoyed the video. As we say in Northern Ireland keep er lit and keep er between the hedges. In other words just keep on going.
Your plot looks lovely. 😊 I have to say mine isn't doing too bad either (despite the weather!). It was a slow start with some things, and the sunflowers didn’t germinate, but everything has now taken off. I had the best potato crop I have ever had. Now all stored in my freezer. 😊 Haha...the balls look fab!
Hello Emma, I took some small stones and painted them to look like strawberries and placed them around my unripe strawberry plants. The birds come down and peck the rocks, then when the strawberries are ripe they leave them alone. Hope this helps.❤
Hi emma its the same here in ireland look up at the sky ser the white lines these ard chemtrail that will tell how the day will progress nog good im afraid read about them your doing a great job
Oh Emma what a beautiful bunch of potatoes that’s lovely I actually pull up a cauliflower today it’s so big a friend of mine told me a couple of weeks ago that I’m wasting my time with those take too long but never for me I love growing them, I sent a picture of it to let them see what it looks like now, enjoy your gardening because I really do ❤❤love your videos
😯🧐oh what the hell, look at those Potatoes Emma woweeee the best lve seen this year.lm growing this type as they make great chips and lovely fluffy jacket Potatoes WELL DONE yeh 👏👏👏👏👏
Just love your reaction at pulling the potatoes, mine was about the same when we tipped out my friends Charlotte potatoes there were loads and my friend wasn't expecting much, we got 1.5 kg it was amazing. ❤
Hi Emma your allotment is looking great ,very nice potatoes, glad your feeling better ,the sunshine does make all the difference, I'm in the North West of England and weather here has been awful ,I garden for hours in the rain the other day I was determined to get the job finished ,went home sopping wet and had a hot shower 😅xxx
Oh Emma, I love your enthusiasm! And the balls look fantastic. I have every faith in your cucumber structure. I've found aphids on my sprouts today 😮 but my pumpkins are doing OK. You win some, you lose some 😊
Actually, I got a shopping bag of those balls in my shed. Some Numpty did dump them in the alley way behind my house a couple of years ago. Was trying to donate them to a worthy cause but nobody wanted them. So they now got a worthy cause in my garden replacing the wobbly flowerpots on top of the canes. ❤
Hi Emma. Please don't chuck the slugs and snails in the hedge as they will be back in a few hours. Try this. I take a ziplock food bag to my plot and put any slugs and snails inside. Then on my way home I put the bag in a bin by a grassy area and unzip the bag. I seem to be making a dent in the population. Good luck. Pat
Is there a reason you left one of your bean canes without a ball ?? Is this a new type garden feature, or just a design tip you picked up from Adam Frost😀😀
Rocky is such a mournful figure, he looks like he’s starving 😭😭 Somebody needs to respond to his cries for food Disclaimer: I’m not a cat person, his noisiness may be because of his breed, but he sure does look too thin to me
Rocky looks to me to have some Siamese breeding in him. Their short fur and bone structure can make them look thin, but I don’t think Rocky is starving. Siamese cats are talkative and often needy - they are active and like company. He probably has a home nearby and his owners are at work during the day, so he goes visiting.
@@lobodo988 not at all, you are compassionate and caring. I think the reason he wasn’t around for months earlier in the year was because he was content to stay at home when it was cold. He certainly doesn’t look like a stray cat.
I don't know you know that Great Britain is part of a rainforest. That's why it seems to rain all the time. I watch a lot of Mossy Earth which is very informative on different Eco systems around the world that you wouldn't have guessed were rain forest. I'm in SW Pa in the states and there are small sections of the mountains that are rain forest.

Disposable aluminum pie plate full of beer, next day dead slugs. Learned from an old gardener years ago. Really works.

Ah don’t be scared of Rocky he seems super friendly and loves you! Giving you little head buts. He’s super cute.
Those aggressive head bumps from Rocky is him spreading his scent onto you (scent glands on their cheeks), claiming you :)
Your potatoes! Wow what a harvest 🎉🎉🎉
Rocky may also sense thay you been anxious lately . Animals are great at detectinh these things and patting dogs or cats really help .

Sacreficial cucumbers, all for the Allotment Cults entertainment 😁
You were taliking about a New camera but this one is fine!!
Hi Emma. Have you tried soaking some of Einstein's food in water. I heard they will plump up and birds like them.
I cut the flowers/fruits off my maincrops so the plant can focus energy on the potatoes instead.
