The law(28 US Code 455) says, A judge or justice has a duty of fairness when making judgments as they preside over a case.
All Judges & Justice have a duty of fairness when making judgments as they preside over a case. Therefore, when a judge or justice reviews the facts of the case and decides whether there are any conflicts of interest regarding the case that would prevent them from being impartial, unethical, and unfair they should recuse themselves from the case as is the law.
Justice Alito was flying an upside-down flag at his Virginia home. The use of the upside-down flag during the January 6th insurrection was significant because it signaled a rejection of the democratic process and the peaceful transfer of power as well as a symbol of distress and protest among supporters of former President Donald Trump. He also flew the Appeal to Heaven flag at his New Jersey home which is a symbol for religious support of former President Donald Trump. Both of these symbols signal support for former President Trump.
Justice Thomas's wife Ginnie was involved in the planning & execution of the Jan.6 insurrection based on the facts that where revealed during the Jan. 6th Select Committee Investigations.
Therefore based on known facts both of these justices should have reclused themselves from the below cases as per the law but did not. This could be interpreted as being impartial, unethical, and unfair as well as corrupt and the appearance of impropriety. Therefore these justices should have reclused themselves from the below case before them.
      1. Obstruction Of An Official Proceeding
      2. Whether Former President Trump has immunity for everything he did why he was in office
Why should federal judges be free to accept gifts of unlimited value as long as the donor does not have business before the court.
Whereby Senators & Congress people are limited to gifts of less then $50.00 or $100.00 annually from any 1 source. These rules are to prevent corruption and the appearance of impropriety.
These same rules should apply to judges & justices for the same reasons.

Article 3, Section 1 of the Constitution says “The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.” The language about “holding offices during good behaviour” has been interpreted to mean that the only way federal judges can be removed from office is if the House of Representatives impeaches them, and the Senate convicts them, of “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Only fifteen judges have ever been impeached (that is, formally accused by the House of Representatives) and only eight have been convicted and removed from office. For practical purposes, any judge who does not commit a crime (or do something equally bad) has “lifetime tenure” and will stay in office until he or she dies or voluntarily steps down. And, as the provision says, Congress and the President cannot retaliate against judges by cutting their salaries.
So....Biden cannot impose term limits. It's unconstitutional. Try again Obama....this is where this is originating from. I assure you Biden isn't behind this. Only the "front man".

@@43supermm Any change to any of our three branches requires a constitutional amendment to happen. This was the case after FDR, the amendment limiting a president to two terms in office. If Joe wants any of these changes, they need to be amendments that make it through a process of two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate, and then be ratified by three-fourths of all the state legislatures (Or by three-fourths of conventions called by each state).
It's also unclear if this would be one singular amendment proposed to cover all points, or would have to be an amendment for each proposed change since they are all of a different nature, or of it could be swung as a generalized "Supreme Court Reform" amendment.
Long story short, it's never going to happen. 2/3 of each congress and 3/4 of all states will never agree to it. What this is, is PR pandering to try and garner more media attention for the Democratic ticket with a talking point they feel they can push, due to the two recent decisions the Supreme Court has handed out. It's just PR manipulation with no basis of actually happening in reality. The chances aren't IMPOSSIBLE, but they are so infinitesimally small that they might as well be 0.
