i could listen to this band day in and day out. Great interpretation of New Orleans Jazz done in a sweet sound well done the clarinettist really is something to admire
Amen! A wonderful and very expressive interpretation of this old hymn. As always, a superb clarinet solo by Tamura Makiko. A great banjo solo as well. Very enjoyable. Keep up the good work! All the best from a German jazz clarinetist.
Brilliant performance by Makiko San! I live now in Folsom, California and immensely enjoy listening to your group. On my next trip to Tokyo, where can attend to listen to your performance? Gummbatte!
@@sireugenecourtney5797No double meaning intended…only that she is spot on. In my experience my ear is more commo0nly flat than sharp and this has been called out. Thank you for your remark. BTW, I object to the remark in amazement from @Stephen Bryen that this is from Japan, as I have heard elegant interpretations and skilled from educated and dedicated Asian musicians.
The clarinet player is from tokyo Japan I believe. She runs her own band called .... P Time Selection .... and has visited New Orleans and played with the Shotgun Jazz Band at the spotted cat. Her name is Tamura Kikoko.
Tamura- you are a miracle!
Wonderful clarinet!
This is a sacred song. May all who hear it realize it's true meaning!
A priceless clarinetist with a blank price tag around her neck. And whiskey bottles in the background. Honestly, I love these guys.
Hey Valdemar! I second that!
They love their whisky in Japan..good band as well.
Me too. Always have. ❤

Love the beautiful hymns! Listen most mornings.... praising God for the inspiration .... keep it up !,
Oh Wow! One of a number of great jazz sounds coming out of Japan. They are all naturals.
The clarinetist made me think of my late uncle who was also an accomplished clarinetist. Thanks for your excellent rendition of this song!

Nice recording - very nice solo's by both the clarinet and the banjo. I love this band. Are they still together?
Yes. See e.g. ruclips.net/video/vomQECmPzOg/видео.html.
It's really embarrassing that no Japanese have commented on this wonderful performance!

Einfach schön! Angenehm zu hörten!
Is the girl on clarinet from New Orleans? Great natural jazz feeling.
Who knows why some young people have old souls. She and Chloe Feoranzo are child prodigies.
Yes, she is sharp, but I have no notion of her provenance.
*Frank Correti* Do I detect a double tongued meaning for sharp?
