    I love how I never see this guy play the same drumset twice.

    This guy is an excellent drummer, and this stuff is neat... for a minute, gets redundant fast, for a very specific audience. What he's doing is very complex, really talented guy.

    It's like a stream of consciousness. Great creativity and time control. Impressive

      uriahfiiya check out Thomas stronen's stuff with electronics. I like DP and technoself a lot but it's just micro samples on a keyboard. Not that it isn't cool as fuck

      Ian Chang might have him beat.

      I do agree. Also definitely check The Bloio Project from Berlin scene, that guy is a machine-hybrid drummer who invented a mask to also play didgeridoo at the same time.

    8 minutes in I realized that he was riffing on chopped samples from Time Will Reveal by Debarge.

    Love Andy Kravitz, but I wish he fucked around a little less with the kick and reverb while deantoni did his thing.

    if he only sequenced his midi notes, he could free his self and play drums with two hands , then he could really dive into it

    • @AquaAnim
      @AquaAnim 7 лет назад +13

      nefaco Thats not the point, he does it this way to have some of the midi parts improvised. At least thats what he says in interviews. He has a basic idea then plays around with it.

    • @thediggabeatz7529
      @thediggabeatz7529 6 лет назад +7

      nefaco I don't think you get it. This is what he does so he doesn't get bored with drums. He has played for so long, its a phase for him.

    • @the_lizardface
      @the_lizardface 5 лет назад

      It's impressive that he does all the midi parts live, but I sort of agree.

    • @the_lizardface
      @the_lizardface 5 лет назад

      All the work is left up to the engineer to add the reverb and stuff it seems. Amazing drummer. One of my favorites since seeing the Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group, but this just sort of pales in comparison. I know he can do way more than this.
      Props to the engineer and the ingenuity but it just sort of gets boring.
