The phrase “find your own sound” comes to mind when listening to this. As a sax player, it is one of the most difficult things to separate yourself from all others and come up with a unique sound that is yours, and yours only. Players that come to mind: Michael Brecker, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, David Sanborn, even Kenny G.....Gerald Albright has a distinct sound and phrasing that is uniquely Albright. This is a beautiful version of one of my favorite Christmas songs and they nailed it.
Tevis, these videos keep me going since the stroke paralyzed my left side. The compelling arrangements and well rehearsed band fill me with joy, since I can no longer perform. Gerald Albright is the worlds Premier Altoist, in my opinion. I thank God he works with your ensemble, your team is magnificent and magic.
