Homemade pea and bean sheller

The sheller really works great on Legumes that have wider pods. The pinto beans I used for this video have narrow pods and fall through the screen on the drum. Typically with other beans this does not happen. I have shelled mature pole beans in the past and it worked much better than these pintos.

Actually I gave it to a neighbor of mine a few years ago. It was fun to build, but we don't mind shelling the little bit of peas that we grow.
