It's a rule tho. If it is close, the linesman should delay his flag. I think we need new officials that are trained with VAR and never reffed a non-VAR match on professional level. Because clearly these linesmen still have the habit of raising their flag when it is close, not only in this match. Also even if the linesman raises his flag, the ref should've delayed with the whistle.

If the referee did not blow that whistle and the match went on, the Real's defenders would have interfered immediately, and the chance of you scoring that goal is just 50-50 (given that you are not even a striker, your finish won't be that clinical under such pressure). You can check the replay and see that both Rudiger and Alaba stop for one second after hearing the whistle, which allowed you to shoot on goal...
