"Lookin's free! But touchin', That'll cost ya!!!!" LMAO Ur killin me Cole!!!!!!!!!!
You know dad's happy with the harvest, when it's over he's thinking about spending money!
Awesome job fellas!!
Cole, you’re not alone, I still burn my mouth on a freshly cooked frozen pizza even after 62 years!
Ditto
You have the best newer channel going Cole. Brian you have son to be proud of but "you" are the star of the show.
Thank you Larry!
Cole, every truck airtank is attached to a compressor. Add a quick connect, hose and airchuck. Your set for air, home n field.
You're welcome.
No charge.
"All we got is Busch Lite"... We'll be alright. You Betcha!
I was scraping free stall barn pushing manure into the pit. When my boss went behind me with feed wagon. I didn't see him because of the sun in my eyes. I started to back up skidsteer and hit the feeder wagon on the chute where it emptied out. 4 hours later we finally got to feed cows with a totally rebuilt chute. Had only been there for 2 weeks but stayed for 7 years after that.
I was driving the tractor hauling the grain cart. We were unloading on the run, and 3 deer jumped up in front of the combine that was new that year. And they ran and did some Olympic level jumps and managed to clear both the combine and the tractor's path. There was definitely some pucker factor that time.
love what you doo man keep it up
To prevent mice use Bounce dryer sheets (non scented) and also get peppermint oil and put it on cotton balls is another solution. When we winterize our camper for the season that’s all we use for mice and come spring we have no critters. Great videos thanks for the knowledge and entertainment.
Hi,from the Tully farm in Manhattan Kansas.
The Sonne Farm sign on the shop floor would look much better hung 🥰
All in good time Kayla.

2:45 "Going to have to switch to beer." You made that sound like a bad thing. Silly Cole.
I had to get a new RUclips account because reasons, but you saying yankem rope reminded me I hadn't resubscribed to Larson Farms! Thank you Cole.

I mean... Is there really even a difference between Busch lite and water anyway?
Always enjoy seeing the farm machinery in action. The best shot of this vlog was Ellie waiting at the end of the driveway for your return ( or maybe anyone's return as she was thinking "when are they coming to feed me" 🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜 🚜

Dinner time and Sonne farms. Cant go wrong
At 16:27, when you propped your arms on the gate and it got quiet except for the birds... that's the life. Quietly surveying what you have. At that moment I literally said out loud - this is what it's all about. I had the opportunity to do that very thing this past September on a ranch in Wyoming. It was simply serene, and humbling. You guys are fortunate. Thanks for sharing with me, a city boy out of place and time.
110k. Woooohooo. Awesomeness
Best part of your videos is when you are working with your dad... It's possible to see the connection between you two. Good job and enjoy, keep up the good work
Loved your ending...
Hey Brian. Our household makes the green bean tatie tot hot dish. We even add the cream of mushroom soup. It’s great stuff!
My Sonne Farms shirt just arrived today! Looks great and happy to support the channel.

Just Love watching you guys. Keep it up, fun to see Ellie. 🥰♥️
Dad we ran out of water all we have is Busch light. Dad “ we’ll be alright then” Lol 😂🤣🤣🙋♀️
Looks like a couple of boys can't wait to try out the pad...
Cole good idea to run pipe out where you need air, remember to put drains in along the way... run one to where you weld too. Maybe one where you wash equipment to plow out dust.....
May you guys and your families stay safe out there things are changing.
Mike Mitchell and Sonne Farms, my two favorite farm related channels these days 👌
Much appreciated!
@Victor-Emmanuel
- Sonne farms is way better than Mike Mitchell, because Cole actually works and Mike just talks!
Keep the good work up
Great video I enjoyed.TY for sharing
Hey Cole!!! Check out around the 6:23 mark. It looks like the fertilizer buggy shaft is rubbing against a hydraulic hose fitting. May cause future problems. Keep up the great work. I do not know how old your air compressor is,.....but you may want to keep the air tank if it is not getting too rusty and crusty, and hook it together with the new air tank, to give you more air reserve when filling tires and running air tools. But hook the two tanks together, with a flexible hose. A solid pipe may crack and break from vibrations over time. Same thing if you wind up running an air header around the shop. Use a flexible hose also to hook to the header. Make sure you have isolation valves as needed. They are fairly inexpensive, but worth it when you need it. Drain lines also. Air gets a lot of moisture in it, in the Spring and Summer.
youd be correct, thats why the fitting is there, we had to splice it because of wear. Good eye!
Great video Cole I'm enjoying the content Hi ellie have a day love from TEXAS
Looking forward to seeing the calving videos, any chance of you doing an extra vid over next four weeks...we got to see somebody living a normal life like you do,keeps us sane!
You guys are fantastic. Keep going. I enjoy it. Congratulations on making it through harvest safely.
I guess I'll have to skip my afternoon nap since I don't recall today's episode of Story Time with Brian.
You missed the story right at the beginning about his brother and the raccoon?
Blue yummies in the fridge
Love it, that will be alright.
FYI.. when all you have left to drink is Busch Lite.... dying of dehydration ain't looking so bad
Set dog proof con traps. Colored marshmallows works awesome 👍
Good ta seeya's!
Tires a bit squidgy!
Loving seeing Ellie giving her loves.. 🤗
Your cattle are looking pretty steaky.... 😋
Do you ever get to find out after slaughter, where the meat goes?
Like imports around the world etc... 🤔
In my work shop i use 25mm water poly pipe to run air around the shop, it has a working pressue of 180psi
As I wrote for someone else dig a 2 foot or less ditch next to where you park it for manure, it will lower it enough for the loader. Or build a ramp to raise the loader.
Loving the channel. Your video and quality of your videos have really come a long way since the beginning. Keep up the great work. Quick question, when will your dad be doing Karaoke on the channel again?
Hey guys! Critters going through combines - yeah they leave some mess on your seives which aint at all pleasant.
When you are cleaning your end off Cole you should use some kind of protection to avoid getting icky on your hands.
I see them damn squerls are back, I've heard they are reasonably tasty though so if a couple happened to give their lives for the cause so to speak...
I cant wait to see the new muckspreader in action, that'll be a sweet ride for ya Cole.
Stay safe guys
Frosty.
Always find myself smiling when I watch you guys! Thank you!!
So glad!
Looking forward to seeing some videos of your and your Dad up in the deer stand.
Some nice angus
Awesome video Cole,Brian, and Ellie and good looking cattle.
Thanks 👍
Try putting a bar of Irish Spring soap in the cab to keep mice out, let me know if it works.
Try adding some bounce sheets in there as well. It works!!
Looking forward to that deer hunting video you mentioned! Shoot straight
H&S should factor in the marketing discount given the video attention they will get from you. Seriously now, livestock operators all across the country watch your channel. I don't know how many guys I've talked to about the mats you put in the aisleway. You and Brian do a great job demonstrating the practical use of what is needed to operate your business day to day.
I'm looking forward to hunting video!
Looking forward to your hunting video
Glad harvest is over and was plentiful! Back in the day I broke many a shear pin on the JD spreader! Hated that thing🤣🤣.
God Bless Y'all!!
Getting cold here too, Cole. Got down to 62 last night and won't get warmer than 65 here in the high valley. Greetings from your Costa Rica contingency.
It looked like you guys had a good harvest. I am looking forward to watching the cattle handling video's. I am very happy to see this channel doing so good, you guys put out fun video's that we can all learn about farming at the same time. Thanks guys
Thanks for the wholesome, relaxing content. I’ve learned so much about what actually goes into farming. May your winter be mild and all of your swipes right on farmers only ❤️
You guys are awesome do tacos tonight it's easy hard shell tacos can't go wrong with them green bean tater tot casserole was liking sour cream in it mixed in with the cream of mushroom seasoning from the cupboard can't wait till you guys start calving I love all your videos it don't matter time for Ellie to go for a ride on a tractor
Good video, I enjoy your content! I know it's a lot of work. Thanks for posting!
Set a bar of Irish spring soap in the cab of your combine, mice hate it!!!!
I use colored wire ties on my hydraulic connections. I just match up the colors when I plug them in ....
I love your channel, makes the day even better. Your an amazing Farmer Cole, the racoon story was good,. It's part of farming
Thanks 👍
YES please take us along on some deer hunts this year! I’ve leased some hunting land in your state got some beautiful bucks roaming that state can’t wait to get back there. I saw more bucks in one day then I’ve seen in an entire year of hunting my state.
Never heard of a slew until I started watching you western farmers.. We call them bottoms here on the east coast
Learned the word reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “The Long Winter” (Little House book). It start with Laura helping Pa harvest the grasses in the slough. All the hay that they cut those hot days ended up as fuel that kept them going through a very severe long winter. By the way, their farm was near De Smet, South Dakota. Not sure how close to Sonne Farms.
Looked it up. Depending on route, 82-88 miles, roughly on diagonally opposite corners of a rectangle. De Smet is Northeast of Mt. Vernon.
I work for a Rancher around Sheldon North Dakota. An area south of Valley City, between Lisbon and Kindred called the Sandhills. Most of it is government grassland of sand dunes covered with birch trees Sagebrush and a little grass with slews in between, that had three corner slew grass that we swath for hay and picked up with a Heston stack maker. The grass was like a three Corner file. I wondered how the cows ate it.
We have been using an H&S Hydropush 425 with vertical beaters for the last 10 years. It does a much better job spreading manure than the manure spreaders with horizontal beaters. You should give one a try with the vertical beaters. I think you'll like it better.
Kuhn vertical beater spreaders are what I suggest for bed pack.
i was just eating my breakfast when the racoon story came out! not feeling like food now ;-)
Oh no!
My dad was bailing this fall and was told by the son of the farmer he was helping to air up the back tractor tires that morning to 45 psi. He took it 6 miles south to load bails and when he had 2 bails on back and two up front, the side wall blew out of one of them. It blew out the door and the right window, but left the front and back with no cracks. My dad thought someone shot at him. Thank God he had safety sunglasses on, just his ears rang for a few days and had glass coming out of his ears for a couple of days. The John deer people thought it was crazy and everyone had to see the picks. Cost insurance 8k to fix.
Nice...enjoyable
I think field work for you is like yard work for us city boys, it never ends and your yard is way, way bigger !
I’m so jealous you guys haul so many bales some people might not like it but I love to haul bales
Thank you for letting me know that you’re going to make a deer hunting video. I miss hunting in SD. I would hunt the Black Hills around Pactola Lake then for West River deer season we would hunt the areas around Bison where my father in law grew up.
I have piped compressed air to the last 2 sheds we built ,then you can plug a air compressor ANYWHERE into the circuit , as you can hoses and tools....make sure you put a coupler on either corner door posts that way you dont have to run hoses across doorway entrances.....just a tip ....we can buy the air-line here like 1" poly water pipe , but heavier wall thickiness and poly compression fittings , its blue in colour and from memory its rated at 250 psi. ....makes it so easy to install with Tees etc to put quick couplers where-ever required !!! love your videos, keep it up :) .....BTW what did your corn end up averaging? ...cheers from down-under !!
Hey, Cole. I learned about sloughs from the Little House book “The Long Winter.” Laura (Ingalls Wilder) was helping Pa harvest the hay grasses from the slough in the hot late summer in the book opening chapter. That hay was later twisted into fuel sticks that helped them survive a brutal winter. Their farm was outside of De Smet, SD some 85 driving miles Northwest of you.
Northeast of us.
Is that the same book where they dug tunnels from the house to the barn through the snow?
Earl Hollar I think so, but it’s been a while and I have read all of her books, including letters she wrote after she and Almonzo were married. They did spend most of the winter in a building Pa built in town.
Brian Sonne whoops! Typo. I knew it was northeast. I think a flash of Hitchcock took over, North by Northwest.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!!
Great video. I really enjoy tillage
Thanks for the visit
I want to see a BIG buck hunt!
The only reason why i'm watching these vlogs of yours is because of your dad stories.By the way Cole, where is Steve?! I sure hope, you didn't left him all alone in the dark, in the cold.
PS And yes, i'm a subscriber cuz is free like you said.
Ill be waiting for the deer hunting video 👍🏻
Another great video! Keep up the great work!
love me some green bean casserole
3rd comment finally, keep it up cole love seeing you and your father working together like my father and i do, shenanigans and fun all day makes work fly by
You and your dad should check out a pick rite manure spreader like Eric the 10th generation dairyman got. Them things are slick. A lot of guys in our area here are switching to the vertical beater spreaders.
I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell !
Just catching on the older videos. Heard Brian talking about animals going through combines. I’ve had a wild bore down in Texas go through my combine. Let me tell ya that was not pretty on either the pocket book or the way the animal came out. Lucky the combine was still new and had the warranty yet
one of your best videos ever!!!
There is a small belt behind the plastic cover on that compressor. Check it when you get time, it sounds busted. Sounds like an Arby's kind of day.
Great video cole
More cow bell!!! 😂😂
Only buy a turd hearse that has a hydraulic push. The ladder chains in a spreader always break at the wrong time. Always need to be oiled before and after use.
