please do a video on the German U-Boat that sunk because its toilet broke
What!!! I must know more.
That history channel guy already did a good video on it
Was the... movement... that powerful?
Really wish the intro had just gone on for the whole length of the video. I could watch that Fox fly to a choiral rendition of "Anchors Aweigh" for hours.
I have a minigun, a DeLorean with a flux capacitor and a love for Foxes.
Wish me luck!
Stuffed fox when it hit the ground: I'm Okay!!!
*Modern Fox* : maybe I should stop being so sneaky and interact with people
*His Great Great Grandpa* : Back in my day people slingshotted us across courtyards for fun. And that was the nobility.
*Modern Fox* : Yeah I'll stick to stealing their chickens
I don't understand why you haven't reached 1M subscribers yet. I really enjoy every single one of your videos (and animalogic).
You're REALLY tented. Please never give up!! You're awesome!
Everyone in the past was terrible and I'm embarrassed to be related to them.
As a historian (well, history grad student), I'm growing increasingly fond of the last jedi "Let the past die, kill it yourself if you have to" line. I feel like I should say that we shouldn't forget the past but no one should ever revere it or hold it as something to be praised.
You're probably no ray of sunshine yourself, just ask your dad.
@@DakotaGraftt Your mom says the same thing about you. Say hi to her for me!
Awesome video!!!
---as always. This one was really creative! The plushie really made the video fun. I'm sure we were all still cringing from the horrific details but that doll was so cute!!!
May I please ask where you bought the plushie fox? :)
I think it was off amazon. I’ll try and dig it up for you.
Always something interesting, didn’t notice the last two uploads. Glad you’re back!
Now you have something to binge!
Ok, you brighten up my day 👍
I mean: as a pet lover, I'm in deep grieve for those poor foxes (even as a teddybear collector I think I've got some doubts: did the plush fox hurt itself? Or did it had some fun? 😅), but really this was unexpected and interesting.
Well, after a run chasing a cheese brick along a steep hill (britons, obviously) and a race for who can spit a cherry-pit the farther (in case you're wondering, yes: it is a thing), this has found its place.
What's next? (Apart from the U-Boat sunk due to a toilet, as I read in the comments 🚽😱) The Buddha Machine? 🤔 it was already covered by This Exists (and the fellow Canadian Sam Sutherland), but also opened me a world 🤯
What does the 🦊 say
OUCH!
Is it bad that my first thought was, "Is this why fox cries sound so pained?"
I'm so happy to see another video from you! This was a wild one Haha.
Thanks :)
The only thing more odd than ‚fox tossing‘, is that this video has so few views and comments. It’s weird, entertaining, inspires outrage...all the hallmarks of a viral video. I‘m confused.
Always fun seeing your videos Dylan! I had never heard of this sport, this was really insightful!
Thanks! It was a lot of fun to make. Turns out when you launch foxes using what from the outside must look like some sort of sex rope in the park, people look at you weird. Who knew!?
Nobody:
Medieval Germans: *PICK UP THE FAX*
Watching from the uk and thought cheese rolling and tossing the kiber was as eccentric as you could get but again the Germans go a step further
I felt an entirely undeserved sense of pride at the Swedish ambassador's skillful throwing of shade. ^^
Pre-internet and pre-TV must have been really boring to find fox tossing entertaining.
Fox tossing, I am intrigued.
Not so much a "lost" sport, more like rightfully killed and buried in unmarked grave. "Lost" would imply we're still seeking to rediscover it, which we thankfully (hopefully) aren't.
The sport is awsome cry about it
@@kumardickshit1530 No u.
This only confirms my hate towards humans, these sadistic games it's just horrible😡🤬
"anchors away" not "wild blue yonder" you had one job!
thanks for the vid!
as a German i feel very very ashamned of this...absolutely horrible that such an atrocity came from my Homeland
I wonder if people thought a lot less of animals than we do now, or they thought they were just as sentient as us, but they were just bored.
17th century philosopher René Descartes didn't believe that animals were conscious - sentience being just one part of that whole idea. Veterinarians up until the 1980's were unsure whether or not animals felt pain, and some animals to this day are in a gray area (one philosopher has outright stated that an ethical vegan would commit no ethical violations by eating sustainably farmed oysters, as they have no indication of self-awareness insofar as wanting to be alive or experiencing suffering, though they could not factually be "vegan"). Imagine what some guys in the 1600's probably knew of animal ethics - none.

I live in Saxony and never about this.
Fox tossing? You should Google "salad tossing" 😁

I didn't know fox tossing was a blood sport. I love foxes. I am also an animal person in general. Foxes are not pests. They are mixed blessings. They are beautiful fascinating creatures. I hate sport hunting, and I hate usage fur in fashion. I hate such things with a passion. I don't want that to happen to any animal. I thought having such travesties done to foxes was screwed up enough. Fox tossing is somehow even worse. At least fur has some practical benefit in providing clothing. Humans need clothing to survive. It is more justified in ancient times when there wasn't much alternatives. Fox tossing is somehow even worse. This isn't just cruel. It is full blown sadistic. People are torturing animals for their "entertainment" and "fun". There is no practical benefit for the sacrifice of animal lives. That is just sick and twisted. That would give PETA a heart attack. Note that I am just bashing the practice and not the video. The video is great for being informative. There is a silver lining that the practice has died out. I am glad that a stuffed animal fox was used for the demonstration and not a real one. Stuffed animals can be smacked around without significant damage. Even if there was damage, that can be fixed by sewing.
Later in the video, there were pigs running around. Oh no. Poor pigs. This is a lot easier to justify killing. Pork is great. I enjoy it as much as the next person. However if one is going that route, this should be very differently. Restrain the pig first. Then shoot it in the head. It is nice a quick. It may not even hurt. It also works to chop the head off, instead of shooting it. You know. It is good to slaughter a pig the proper way. Come to think of it, hanging and beheading are used to execute human criminals. That does work in essentially the same way. Aim for the most humane and quick way to go.
I would like to end with this take home message. Only kill a fox, if it gets to a person's chickens or rabbits. Ditto for other relevant prey animals a person has. Defense is one of the few good reasons to kill an animal. Killing the fox will still be unpleasant. However it is worth it in order to save the lives of the prey animals.
LOL i hunt foxes 😂😂😂😂 cry about kido
*3rd* , and the earliest I've seen _any_ video on RUclips.
(obviously, notifications not on.)
You know... shitty stuff from germany? Ofcourse it's Sachsen.
I would toss a fox if it ate my chickens
Fair
sounds like a fun dude
Fop flinging
Just to put it in context, in the 17th century foxes were considered with the same disdain that we regard rats.
