I just want to share real quickly that I spent all of my adult life as a lesbian I was saved on October 6th 2019 and it took until March for me to realize that homosexuality was not going to be a lifestyle I could live anymore. The Lord directed me to the book of Leviticus after 1st Timothy chapter 1 and it was through those two places in the Bible that I found deliverance and I'm now set free and married to a wonderful godly man!!

Also, outside Scripture, I have stressed to my family and friends that the reading of "Bonhoeffer, Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy," is MUST reading to help us, inspire us in this day in which we find ourselves. Thank you, Eric Metaxas! Thank you Francis Chan for you absolute submission to the Lord! I've followed you for years. Anyone who socks on their Reeses cup whole is under a very heavy anointing! Thank you Mike Bickle for providing the opportunity for such moments. I love that the clock has no hold on you!
A few weeks into the pandemic, the story of Bonhoeffer flashed through my mind as a clear parallel for this time in history. (Eric, thank you for writing it.) I pray for courage to see with God’s eyes, and speak His truth.
Eric you were certainly called by God to write Bonhoeffer, Wilberforce, and Luther, so that you can be mightily and boldly used by the Lord to awaken and challenge the American Church to courageous action against the increasing Marxist totalitarianism attempting to eradicate any witness of Christ, destroy the nuclear family, and annihilate our Republic. Your bold, unwavering voice of truth is exactly what's needed in such a time as this. Truly, the spirit and testimony of Bonhoeffer continues to live through you. And for that, I'm profoundly grateful to our great and gracious Redeemer! Can't wait to get home from the mission field of East Africa and join you in fighting this good and absolutely necessary fight. God's grace, strength, and endurance be multiplied to you, my Brother!

Dude, you've got to read the Bonhoeffer book! It's fabulous!!! Just think of it like reading 3, 200 page books. There are a few short parts that are long and a bit over detailed but the majority of it is just a greatly written fabulously moving novel. The account of a brilliant, lively young guy who stood up for his strong beliefs who was then killed for his beliefs. You really should just read this because it will speak to you in a marvelous way

You have to get off this idea that the test for walking in love means that the person you are speaking to immediately receives what you are saying, and if they don't, that means you are not walking in love. Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil.
Francis, read Eric's book 7 Men and the Secret to their Greatness. One of his stories is a condensed version of Bonhoeffer's story. Very good. (side note; I was able to get this at my local library) 😏Now that I have read that I too want to read the weightier book but so glad to have read of these 7 men whose success were faith based.
We christians need to expect reciprocity from the Jews. We have been defending Jews for years. Its time for the Jews to stand up for Christians and the persecution they suffer.
Christians don't do anything expecting reciprocity or a reciprocated dinner invitation, we obey Him because it is the right thing to do and because we love Him (John 14:15, 23) and do all things for Him (Colossians 3:17), or for Christ in our fellow human beings (feed, clothe, visit the sick).... if we haven't even read the 4 gospels, how will we cope with End-Time 'doctrines of demons' (1 Tim 4:1)? We need to get our doctrine straight - now- before crisis comes.

There's a tipping point - yes we are commanded to pray for and obey our worldly leaders - when laws and leaders become evil, we have to draw the line and 'obey God and not man' (Acts 5:29) even if we have to go to prison (camps) or are executed. Jesus said we aren't better than our Master - they persecuted Him, so they'll persecute us.

I'm very disappointed that Eric Metaxas (at about 1:39:40) felt the need to include "serious Muslims" in with "serious Jews" and "serious Christians". Ironically, in that little spasm of virtue-signalling, he showed himself susceptible to the very same politically correctness he is otherwise passionately decrying.
He didn't say Muslims are going to heaven but they are more principled than some Christians in opposing a non-Christian life-style (but we really want EVERYONE saved)! Anyone with strong beliefs is probably first in line for coming to faith because they have principles and anyone who isn't 110% committed to Christ needs to be saved -Jew, Muslim and yes including some who think they are Christians.
