This song hits home on so many levels. I've always been an emotional guy, but this song is about the sad irony that sometimes its better to let someone go than to keep holding on. That is never more apparent than with a beloved family pet. We never want to let them go, but at some point we are hurting their quality of life more than helping it. That decision is always the hardest decision to make. You guys did the right thing by letting tootsie go. I am so glad you made a tribute at the end. Much love and stay strong.

I had a cat named smudge first cat we got him when I was little and in 2016 he died at 9 on his birthday we had to put him down I discovered that something wasnt right when he was crying over and over this hits me hard
I also broke down too, because it reminded me of my dog a golden retriever and he passed away a really long time ago when I was just a kid

I cried too! I lost my best friend (my dog) to cancer two years ago on Martin Luther King day. May my baby rest in peace 😭

Aww i feel you girl and it’s ok because I had the best dog ever and when I used to be bully’s marshy used to make me happy and then she died and it was the same I used to be bully and I got her for my birthday so I feel you 😢😭
This video is so hard for me I was 5/ 6 years old when I was become a dog but she leave my when I was 17 i miss her so much ! But I know that she’s now on a better place without hurting 🌹✝️🌌

Dogs honestly should have a longer life span.
When you get a dog when your a kid and it been with you for most of your life. Then it will pass probably by the time your a teen or a young adult. It hurts having a friend for most of your life and going away.

My dog died january 11th. Her name was chloe, we had 1 other dog named Cody, he was older and loved her to death. Cody and the neighbor's dog always barked back and fourth, it was a pit bull. One day the pit bull broke through our fense and got to Chloe instead and broke her neck. She died and we were all sad espically Cody, we had to get a emotional support dog for our dog because he almost stopped eating his dog food and he was a really FAT dog.

I know what it feels like when a dog dies :( my dog died in 2019 it was a sad year. I cried all week wishing she did not die, so every time I hear this song I cry badly. I really miss her and someday I’ll be able do be with her again. She meant a lot to me. So one of the morals of this song is never be rude to someone cause you have no idea what they have been going threw like having a family member die or a pet. It’s really hard on people if there having a rough time you have to be careful when speaking cause you can hurt someone’s feelings easily! If you finished reading this comment keep it in your head you have to remember you can hurt someone easily! Ty!
