I think the reason it warped you to the bottom of the flight range is because that's where one of the champion's ballad shrines is hidden underground

You should definitely buy the house, because then you could store weapons and stuff until you use them to fight Ganon! Also, I wonder if any of the other mini games would give you randomized rewards for doing them? Just a thought :)
