I'd rather have the late Bob Murphy announce this game. For decades he was "the voice of summer night games" in NY. It didn't matter if you heard him announcing Met games in the City, at the beach, or out on lonely country road somewhere, he described the game better than anyone, especially in late innings when those Met relievers struck out opposing hitters for the Save. ("Swing & a miss, he struck him out!" in the earlier years, and "He struck him out!" in the later years.)
TThere are roles for women in sports, but announcing and commentating just isn’t one. Guys don’t want to listen to women talking all day which is part of why they watch sports.
I love Canha so much, he's great. Asking Megill how old the pitcher is and when Megill answers they're the same age, Canha is shocked at MEGILL'S age.
This is a fun way to build excitement for specific players, even if they aren't on your team. Both guys sound like good dudes and teammates.
