My machine stopped grinding ~8 years ago. I blindly replaced the motor and grinder sensor at the time but it did not help. I gave up and continued using it with pre-ground coffee only. After watching your video I managed to identify and replace a faulty resistor (R127) which was OL. I didn't have any spare components handy so I scavanged the resistor from an old broken pcb board which I had kept just in case. Cauple hours of work total and no extra cost and the grinder is working again! I can't thank you enough! You are a legend!

Brilliant . . . thank you Sir! Fantastic primer on a basic diagnostic and repair method that can be extrapolated to diagnose other components on the Syntia/Saeco boards. Well made video!

Thank you for sharing. My problem was that the grinder was working and the grounded bins start first going to the waste basket and then the grinder will spin but no coffee was delivered. Thanks to your video I was able to take the brewer apart, unclog the grinder and now it seems to work fine.

I have a problem with my display. All the color works green yellow and red, but the pictures are barely noticeable. I changed the LCD again, I thought I had a bad one. Any idea on the problem? Very fainted pictures (icones)

Any idea how to clean the grinder that works but is oily from oily beans and won't suck in the beans?

I thank you very much for what you have given us, in particular, clarifying a corridor, starting from the electricity inlet circuit to the electrical outlet of the coffee grinder, and found us the reason for the damage. Can you help me please ? I have the same model as Philips Cynthia and I think you will know where the problem lies first. The card is clean and its problem is that the electricity is connected but nothing works like this hand does not ignite and there is nothing that works as if it is disconnected from electricity. When I arrived at a meter using the meter, I couldn't figure out which circuit was responsible for opening the switch so that all the power outlets for the engine and screen would work for others. Can you show me the places to look? I doubt Optecopler. and thank you

I have the Saeco Syntia and it seems to go through periods where it dumps the ground beans for the first espresso without actually brewing it. It seems to do this regardless of the brand of beans. Any idea why it does this.

Hi, it seems like I have a different problem with my own broken machine, no water ever reaches the brewing unit. Instead all comes out under the machine. I could have a broken overpressure valve? The instructions are great, but I cannot get the round front knob, nor the steamer off to even start disassemble the machine. Any chance you could explain this? Eva

It was some time ago if I remember right you need just to pull the shiny part of the round knob and there will be one screw under it. Steamer can be removed after external panels removal but you need to undo the steamer plastic cover that is held by two clips two very fragile clips to the metal on the machine. You can also try to search youtube I believe there was another video with disassembly of this machine )

My machine is a bit older, no fancy multicoloured display. IN the morning the machine will not prime. It tried to prime goes through the motions but no water comes out of the coffee spout. It errors with water pump issue. I crank the knob to the right, water comes out of the hot water spout and everything is Okay. after that.. Not sure what is causing it but it is a pain to deal with in the mounting. After that the machine works fine all day long. Any ideas?

Sorry i am not that goid with these machines. I would check if voltage appears on waterpump during fault and normal work. If voltage is present both times than pump is faulty

Hey man, just in case you are still dealing with this... Take the brew group out, remove the filter assembly and unscrew the shower screen. It can get quite clogged. If the micro coffee grounds are dry, they won't let the priming function work, however once they get a bit wet they loosen up enough for the coffee to come out. Once it dries up again the same issue presents itself. Because the holes are so small, I had to give the screen an ultrasonic bath using my wife's jewlery cleaner to unclog everything.
      Hope this helps.
