My great great grandparents and great grandfather came to America in the mid-1800s . My mothers parents were both half Irish half German. So I proudly have 25% Irish heritage in me. My mother was proud of her Irish family!

Irish Guards only the pipers wear kilts snd they wear caubeens as headdress , normal band members and guards wear bearskins red tunics and tweeds , this is closer to Scottish Highkander / regiments of foot dress albeit the pipers also don’t wear busbys / bearskin like not to mention the tartan is neither an irish or scottish tartan

Their snare drums are NG. They all need to be restarted and retaught the instrument No decent, self-respecting drum corps would play as badly as they do. I was A WAC and Big 10 Div. 1 Line Judge in the 1990's did 11 games in this stadium. This specitical is a force not many on earth have seen.

a replica of the KILT designed for an ENGLISH King because he refused to ware the Scottish Dress. The Irish were known for their very colorful dress back in the 16th- 17th centuries . There are books with beautiful
illustrations of the IRISH Dress then by Dutch Illustrators.The ancient Irish loved bright colours men of noble birth especially. The Notre dame band truly represent the Ancient Irish Dress in every way which is beautiful to watch. Also there are IRISH war pipes, The BRIAN BORU war pipes are at this moment being resurrected by an Individual, can be seen on UTUBE. The Gaelic form of the kilt is celt [kelt]. Their snare drums are NG. They all need to be restarted and retaught the instrument No decent, self-respecting drum corps would play as badly as they do. No decent drum corps would march as badly as they do. Ohio State may say that they are The Best Damm Band in the Land... if the Land is confined to the State of Ohio. No offense, they really are beyond good, verging on great. However, IMHO, the is Texas A&M. Gig 'em!
