i do a similar version but i always use a flemish eye knot after a crimp once let go ,great vid

Thank you mate. Yeah the Flemish eye adds another layer of confidence I guess but I have never had a double crimp fail so haven’t ever felt the need to add it but it certainly doesn’t hurt to do!

Hi Ben. Very late catch-up of some of your earlier videos. Love this one. Any chance you could provide a link - or slightly more detailed description - of the soft tubing. To help me find it on the Bay

      Thanks for watching Mike,
This is from Amazon go for the bigger sizes, clear or black don’t matter for these rigs then just use kettle steam to shrink it

@@theamputeeangler Thanks again. Guessed you'd prob need something around the 3.5mm diameter heat shrink tube - to go over 2 strand of 150 or 200lb mono and also to go over the crimps. 👍

@@theamputeeangler hopefully next weekend the weather will settle, but it’s the time of year when the weathers always against us.👍

I like these rigs, not using knots is good when your using 80lbs plus mono. Nice one

It’s easy to do and the muppet adds that bit of extra attraction and the clear tube saves your traces from getting bitten up constantly. I plant to run to the deeper wrecks soon as I can and start pulling some bigger ones out. This weather isn’t letting us though as it stands 😅
