For some reason the curators only decided to move the Neanderthal wax figures, The Hun wax figures, Dexter, Jed and Octavius and the other minataure wax figures plus Sacagawea to the Federal Archives at the Smithsonian Institution and replace them with hologram information providers and left the Tyrannosaurus fossil, Moai, Theodore Roosevelt, woolly mammoth, all the museum's other African mammal taxidermies, Lewis and Clark plus the African wax figures intact and decided not to replace them.
It’s kind of sad that Ted is the only one that is not boxed up in crates, as he’s just left untouched to witness his friends being boxed up and ready to be shipped away.
I always wondered why Teddy was barely in this movie. Since he's one of the main characters of the series, I'm surprised he wasn't in this one more than just in the beginning and the end.
