I've got 2 of these amps, had them for over 20 years, one recently stopped working. Any tips what to check would be appreciated.

Very nicely explained video. I’m looking at one of these on Craigslist for $400 and trying to decide if it’s worth it for guitar. Any thoughts on adding vibrato to this amp?

Once I rewired the input it sounded a lot better for guitar. With a new tone stack it's basically a twin reverb.
You can definitely do a tube driven tremolo circuit. You have lots of space and those two extra channels to work with.

I'm not an amp tech, but my thoughts are that most people seem to want to change them into a twin reverb-I don't think finincially that makes much sense. With patience you can get a silver twin in my country for 600 pounds, it's a combo so you get speakers. I spent 300 quid on one of these. Changed the output valves spent , 100 quid getting it working properly , I'm nearly at the price of the twin.

@@user-qe4rs4gy9i i bought the one on Craigslist for $400. I rewired the first channel pre amp to Deluxe Reverb pre amp specs and left all 3 other channels alone.
I also took out death cap, added 3 prong cord and rewired the now unneeded ground switch to be an off on negative feedback control. The amp sounds great. Someone else had already re done the tubes and electrolytic caps before I bought it.
I did also pick up a 1976 twin reverb that needs a complete overhaul for $650. Twins seem to sell around $900 in US most need work.
