FYI, it wasn't a shark wading pool. You were actually forbidden from standing on the bottom or even approaching the bottom to protect the wildlife.
I love that Emma approaches everything with a let's-have-fun-with-this attitude, even if it's something she doesn't enjoy as much, like a water park.

Wifey isn't the biggest fan of water parks, but I'm excited to take our daughter there someday! I have never been! I've been to Blizzard Beach but never Typhoon Lagoon
HYOUMUNGA Kowabunga and KeeLhaul Falls. And the footage for Mayday Falls was actually from Crush n Gusher.
Wear a long-sleeve water shirt and water pants to avoid having to reapply tons of sunscreen throughout your visit.
Wear water shoes to protect from rough and hot surfaces.
Wear a life vest to float around and relax instead of treading water.
Wear anti-fog, tinted goggles as sunglasses and to keep the many, many random splashes and sprays from your eyes.
Great info. It would be so much better if the narrator talked more clearly and enunciated better. She talks quickly and it's easy to miss info.

Our first trip to WDW 21 years ago, we came in January. Yes. We came to Typhoon Lagoon. It was empty. We had the chairs to ourselves. Emma is right. Don’t underestimate the wave pool. It’s mighty big. The food is great. The slides are extra fun especially for tweens and teens.
Me and my family went there in 1991. Yes 32 years ago and it hasn't really changed that much in all those years. Loved it.

Yes most of the days in November you can still go to the water parks. Florida just get “cold” late December early January. Floridian here 😊
They aren’t wrong you should be fine. But also at that point in the year you run the risk of seeing some colder weather. I recommend waiting to buy any tickets for waterparks until a couple days before you go. The tickets won’t sell out and that way you can make sure it’ll be hot enough :)
I stayed at Cabana Bay which has a private entrance to Volcano bay for a week in October last year. The second half of the week it was in the low 60’s/upper 50’s and windy. It was too cold for the pools and waterparks which fortunately we did the first two days we were there!

Let me say again… the wave in the wave pool is really strong. It washed my 5 year old to the other side of the pool. We had to have a cast member help us find him while Mama (me) panicked a bit. It’s all fun for the big kids and adults. But stand WAY back in the shallow area with the littles. And. Yes. It was warm enough to come in January. And no crowds.

Shallow areas are the worst. I have seen kids swept away because they think they are safe in a couple of inches of water but the truth is it is worse. The current will pick you up and because you are in a couple of inches of water you will end up with scrapes all over your body

Pro tip: the mini donuts are actually made by a company called Lil Orbits. My family and I used to run a business with their donuts and they taste the exact same and have the same dipping sauces :) they’re usually at fairs and stuff!
