What seems ironic the only locomotive visible was the locomotive they had hired
Being a volunteer on heritage lines was expensive in the day and has got tougher with living costs and the age of staff.

On a lighter note, I met the Legendary Sylvester McCoy here at the Comic Con here in summer.
That is a real shame. Go cycling with a mate and quite often call in at the heritage centre, never knew the railway had closed, didn't they get it extended only a few years ago?
the track on the extension is there but they have never run a train on it
@@ljtrains9430 I have heard that is why they failed, because they didn’t check their budget before extending.
What happened are houses being built on it
The lease ended and they couldn’t afford it
The council are interested in re opening the railway, it’s a matter of if and when
What a shame to see this lovely railway like this, this would tidy up in a jiffy.
