Hi! I thought I was going crazy when I received my copy earlier today. I was expecting much bigger glossy cards, as I've seen in most people video reviews! I wonder when they made the switch to tinier matte cards. The exterior packaging stayed exactly the same, so I didn't think to check the card size in the item description, lol. To be fair, i was a bit annoyed by the length and glossiness of the original production of these decks, so I think I'll keep the shorter version. Did you expect this size when you received yours?
I have not seen the glossy deck. I prefer matte cardstock though so I'm glad I got the one I did. Also, my hands are pretty small so this deck works out perfectly. I did not expect them to be so long but it doesn't bother me at all. How do you feel about the deck so far?
@dezarey I adore the matte feeling. Size is still large for my tiny hands too lol! I've been on the hunt for a Visconti deck for years, but I never really fell in love with any versions until this one. I'm really glad I got it. Do you read with all of the court cards/virtues? I havent removed any cards just yet. I guess ill start with everything in the deck and see how it feels! Regarding the fact that it is a pip deck, it feels very comfortable due to the fact that i mostly read pip decks/marseille type decks only!
@@MelissaBaker. I love the matter feeling too! I sometimes feel the golden background is too much though. I've read with this deck once and I kept all the cards in. I usually keep all the extra cards within the decks.
@@MelissaBaker. One of my first decks was a Marseille style with RWS influence. Most of the minors are pip style but sometimes the style lands towards RWS (ie 3 of Swords stabbed through an anatomical heart). I have been trying to make the move from RWS to just pip decks because some images/meanings don't line up with the suits/elemental dignities. But it seems my style of Reading needs more action than just pip. I'm working on it though. I just need practice I think
Love watching Flip Thrus! They help me decide on my next purchase. Thank you! (new sub)
Welcome !! I love watching flip throughs too! RUclips is my first stop in deciding on buying a new deck. Thanks for watching
