I am African American but I STAY at Latino Clubs. I fell in love with Bachata (and Merengue & Cumbia 😅), it makes me so happy to dance it and the songs are written like poems. It just makes my heart flutter.
I definitely see these type of dancers at the club and even at socials, especially the people who are HELLA extra thinking they are performing when it's just the damn club! Pipe Down! 😂

omggg im not dominican but my boyfriend is and at every single family get together they play this exact music ! i always have these songs stuck in my head. i can't dance at all but i can speak spanish (conversational, learned in school/with practice)...still don't feel like i fit in, lol.
Audrey Victoria Don’t worry keep practicing dancing with him. Make a playlist of the music they play it’s nice to study the beat so you can stay on beat when that song comes on. Also start off learning basic Spanish don’t be afraid to speak it even if you sound too American. Dominicans love it when you at least try but any Hispanic do. Don’t fit in be yourself. ❤️😘

My 5 yr old, almost 6, is half puerto rican and i always tried to dance salsa with her but she never liked too. But Now she wants to learn salsa and bachata. I learned how to bachata and love it, and my daughter tries to do it too. I like dancing to some Hector Acosta songs, their dad listened to some dominican songs as well. But Keep being full of life! we need more ppl like that. God bless.

Bachata is from the Dominican Republic and no where else !!! people from different countries dance it and also make bachata songs but there's no such thing as cuban bachata or colombian bachata or mexican bachata !
