Again, you have to realize that this is where Skillet got their start. If it wasn't for songs like this, you would not be hearing their new songs now. At the time this song was released, the music spoke, and still speaks to everyone in many ways. They have spawned many genres, and for band that has been around for 12 years, thats pretty cool. This is from their first album, and that did really well. Each album they have done sounds a little different than the one before, and variety is cool.
For those that like the new Skillet, you got to remember that if it wasn't for the old Skillet, you wouldn't have the new Skillet. Plus, you have to hear all their albums to really see how they have progressed. You may find some of the new Skillet within the old. They have lots of great songs, and are definietly worth checking them out.
I love looking through the chronology of Skillet music....Though I'm not a big fan of every genre, I can appreciate the journey of sounds that they've gone through. Its cool to see a band that's always trying something new. :)
Wow I remember hearing this on a Christian sampler CD from like 97'... I had no clue who Skillet was back then and honestly forgot about this songs until I heard it just now.. but had no clue it was Skillet!!! I honestly like the song.. but for Skillet fans it might be a little too mellow/poppy.. good song good meaning.. Praise God and Rock on Skilletheads!!!
Cool song from the day. I remembered this off of the Seltzer video compilation from I guess around 1997. I gave my youth pastor a Canadian 5 dollar bill as collateral to borrow it. haha...and I could swear the Sick Puppies get most of their influence from this band. lol.
This song sais to me that like god, even though we can't see the ring around saturn with our own eyes, we still know its there and always will be there.
I went a head and removed all the negative comments, and will continue to do so. I apologize to everyone that had to see those. Anyone else who chooses to leave negative comments geared towards anyone here,or what we believe in,you are the ones that say its a waste of time,so why are you wasting your time leaving a negative comment? Please don't judge people because of what they like. Take care,Pete
I once worked as a Saturn (car company) tech for 6 yrs. & wished they had used this song for their theme music whenever they advertized, too bad they didn't know good music when its clearly out there, hear me Corporate Executives???
John coopers looks have changed so much...... i wonder what he will look another 7 or 8 years from now....... i wonder if his parents recognize him after how many different styles he has had over the years.
This song says to me that like god, even though we can't see the ring around Saturn with our own eyes, we still know its there and always will be there. What does it say to you?
I apologize for the speed. This is you tubes fault. The audio was fine, and now for some reason its sped up,and skipping. I will try and re-upload ona future date.
his glasses reminds me of harry potter^^ hahahaha but this song is awesome... okay, the whole band is awesome... but i love this song... my favourit after comatose
This is not skillet... This is almost funny!!! I can kind of hear what sounds something close to what they sound like now, but man I gotta stretch my mind to hear it... Good stuff!
That's funny becuase I am always thinking I miss the Invincible/Alien Youth stuff becuase it was more synth rock and now it's got like so much strings and...I mean it's good, I love skillet but I see what your saying. It's a little like they're trying to be something. Don't get me wrong, Skillet is great IMO and they can be whatever they like. But I agree the simpler stuff is neat to go back to, I'm still for progression though. Even when it's not always my favorite progression...
I miss old school skillet too. Some of their new stuff is good, but I think they focus too much on the instruments and synthesizing now. It used to be so simple...
About Christian Music... If a person believes that Lucifer is the savior to the world and is goodness and light and is the "anointed one" (christos) an they form a band and write and sing songs... is it still considered to be a "Christian Band"? This is a Skillet song called "Saturn" and it is a Saturn worship song. swoop! almost every single corporation is updating their logos to have luciferian swoops/rings of Saturn worship symbols.
@@SeeEmPunk Their *Awake* album cover has that Illuminati one-eye symbolism going on. Also bliblically: Satan (HaSatan - the adversary) is a Seraph of a reptilian nature. Lucifer (Haylayl son of Shakar) is a Nephilim hybrid and was the king of Babylon. See a full explanation with this "Tiny" shortcut: /NYSTV5Satans
For your first point, no. Christian sings about God and Jesus, and accepting them into your life. Songs about Lucifer are generally satanist, there are a few exceptions. For your second point, I'm sorry what? The song isn't just about Saturn, he's singing about Heaven as well.

10 years late but yeah I wondered why they specifically made a song about Saturn.

How in the world did they get from Saturn to monster? L
For your first point, no. Christian sings about God and Jesus, and accepting them into your life. Songs about Lucifer are generally satanist, there are a few exceptions.
