The Secret to a Funny Garden: Hilarious Videos of Gardening Gone Wrong

Garden Stats: It’s a rainy morning and the pups are on the way to the groomer so I thought I’d give you some of the details on our little garden space. The footprint of the planting area including the greenhouse and the mulched areas is approximately 16’ x 40’. The reflection/relaxation area will be approximately 8’x10’ and surrounded by planting boxes for my salad/herb garden next year. The compost are will be approximately 8’x6’ and divided into three section: green, brown, and finished compost. I’m deciding on a perm fence for the garden, this is my temporary structure to keep the dogs out and divide the area. I’ll recycle these panels as trellis when I replace them. The entire garden takes about 1/5 of our backyard which is a quarter of an acre. We are blessed.
Currently Growing: Five raised beds with seven varieties of tomatoes, green and yellow zucchinI, yellow straight and crook neck squash, pickling cucumbers, slicing cucumbers, pole beans, sugar snaps, cow peas, mixed (yellow & white) corn, cauliflower, broccoli, cantaloupe, watermelon, red, white, and blue potatoes, sweet potatoes, two varieties of strawberries, two varieties of sweet peppers, and and marigolds for my pollinators….whew….
What will we do with all this food…we’ve been eating here and there as things have trickled in: strawberries, one cherry tomato, lots of sugar snap peas (right of the vine-yummy), a few peppers, radishes, salad, but not major yet. When the bulk starts to come in we will be sharing with family and our wonderful neighbors and I will be canning and preserving the bulk of it for our use over the winter. Hopefully, I will be back to full power by then or we will donate a lot more this year…I’m not sure Michele has the patience for canning…lol
PS…I’m adding a few fruit trees next year too but we’ll just keep that between us for now…no need to stress M out too much…lol❤️❤️. Now go grow something! 👩‍🌾
