Following the trails of the Alpine Ibex and other animals who find refuge in the wild mountains of south tyrol. The Alpine ibex is a species of wild goat that lives in the mountains of the European Alps.
After being extirpated from most areas by the 19th century, the Alpine ibex was successfully reintroduced to parts of its historical range. All individuals living today descend from the stock in Gran Paradiso National Park in Aosta Valley and Piemonte (Italy), a national park created to help the ibex thrive. The species is currently listed as of least concern by the IUCN, but went through a population bottleneck of fewer than 100 individuals during its near-extinction event. This has led to very low genetic diversity across populations.

An ibex is a kind of mountain goat and is the animal of the zodiac sign Capricorn. So, we’re in South Tyrol, Italy, in the Alps where Ibex live. I’m a Capricorn and I’ve been to South Tyrol but I’ve never seen an ibex in real life. Anyone else? Lemme know in the comments please. Otherwise, enjoy. It’s a perfect watch if you need to calm down. 😀
I didn't know that Ibex is the animal of Capricorn .
In Indian / Hindu Zodiac , the Capricorn is called Makar which is a mythical Water Creature and the River Goddesses like the Ganga , Narmada ride on it .
I found out that the ibex is found in India in Ladakh , Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in Himalayan region .
However it is different species , Capra Sibrica or Siberian ibex .
The Ibex of Italy is the Alpine ibex , scientific name Capra ibex
Europe has another species of ibex , the Pyrenean ibex
I am a Capri but never saw an ibex.

I’ve seen ibexes in the wild mountain of Switzerland last week because I went hiking in the alps around 2400m high, that was our morning view. Eating breakfast and watching on the large window, more than 20 ibexes falling in line walking up to the top of the mountain. It was very beautiful!

1:30 man sorry but south Tyrol is just a very little part of a region in Italy, actually on the right side! The white writing cover a lot more: Piemonte, lombardia and trentino alto adige, actually sud Tirol is the north part of trentino region! Anyway thank you about the video! And the ibex lives in all of the alps not just there :) if you come to Piemonte there is a famous lake where the ibex hang out to eat minerals from the wall of the dam and they climb very high (lake cingino) 🇮🇹🖤
