Two words: Rent Abatement. It sounds like 4/5 days wouldn't make that much of a difference but I would consider having management take that week off the rent. I live in DC, my apartment building had a similar issue and I had them discount it for the days I was inconvenienced. Not sure if it's worth the headache to you LOL, but just something to consider.

I'm from Florida and I remember when my ac broke during the weekend. Of course maintenance was not available, so I had to go without air for 2 1/2 days. It was summer and so hot! So I know your pain.

Hi Kendra, I understand you being hot and bothered, you mentioned it was a horrible week and unfortunate week for you and you were stressed out due to having no air or computer issues.. Well some members of my church family are away for two weeks in Malawi, Africa giving the gospel to families in Africa and supporting them. Their living conditions will bring tears to your eyes. To hear first hand hand how children have no shoes, no clean water to drink (if you drink it, you'll get parasites and become terminally ill), their love ones are perishing from having colds because they cannot afford medicine. Yet they are very happy to see a foreigner, & they sing and dance and greet you. I know it may come off as harsh to you, but trust me, be humble and more thankful for what you do have. There are many people in this world that would live in your apartment without the air unit working pose to their living conditions now. Be blessed..

Kendra girl, our A/C went out too. We didn't even realize it just wasn't getting cool n the thing never turned off. It was like that for almost 2wks. I finally called maintenance n they didn't have to come in for the freon. I understand that annoyed feeling I work at night n have to sleep during the day n them days was hell. I barely slept.

These girls are not being ungrateful at all. I like in Georgia like them. And our heat is unbearable when we have 90 degree weather in addition to high humidity which makes it feel like 100 degrees. That can be very frustrating. It's like sitting in a hot car with no AC . I'm sure they feel very blessed. But things happen in life that are frustrating and stressful . At not point did they appear to be ungrateful. I'm sure they feel very blessed.

I feel like they are being cheated if its not fixed in a reasonable amount of time.
My AC was broken for about 3 days and I thought I was going to die. I could not sleep it was so hot and I only had a fan which was not helping at all. Apparently the fan motor was broken on my AC unit.

this happened to me before too. be lucky it was thursday. one time mines was broken for a month. they gave me one window unit and my family got me another window unit so that the whole apt would be cool. i have a very large apt. so one would not do it. i know the feeling when it comes to maintenance issues. i could write a novel and they are so slow with fixing things.
Imagine living in New Jersey in mid winter when it's snowing !! With no heat! My landlord took three months to fix it😩😡 I left ! I hate when they take forever..
