I have a B.A in Interior Design and lived in California until 3 years ago when my now-Fiancée was promoted and we moved to Houston Texas. I've always had a 'job' (usually admin) but always wanted to start my own biz. This is my year :)

Hello, Lisa. Thank so much for sharing this. I know this took a lot of courage to do and I admire that. What you said has deeply impacted me. You helped me reflect on my choices and see why I choose them. What I greatly appreciate is your insight to motherhood. Five years ago my family was given the new that my father was diagnosed with stage four RCC cancer. It’s a blessing he’s still fighter after five major surgeries and seeking experimental treatment now. After receiving the new I felt college to be home so I could help my family. Now that they have moved to seek other treatments not only for him but now my mother with her brain tumor. I felt so lost these past five years after I put my life on hold to be there for my family. Hearing your understanding on being a mother I could only imagine how my mother feels. Even though this struggle they remain the most positive people I know. They have always been so supportive of my and my two brothers. Now having all of this free time on my hands I decided to peruse a life long dream to work in interior design. I’m currently working in a bank which has been wonderful to me being able to understand finances not only personally but for business. I have designed for a church, psychologist office, and a few residential before. If you have any recommendations I’m all ears.

Hi there my my best friend and I are in the planning phase of opening our interior design business. She has a Bachelors in Interior design and I have a Bachelors in Business management and we both have started our careers in our respective roles but want to move on now that we’re more settled in life. Although, I have a B.A. in business management I’m also very passionate about interior design and will be helping in the field as well. I will focus on furnishings while she focuses on fixtures.
Oh my God, I love you already! Lol but seriously, I’ve seen so much content on RUclips about interior design but this really hits home. I’m a mommy of five! I just recently decided I wasn’t going to spend $3,000 per studio class and dropped my interior design program. I’ve been thinking this entire time, there’s gotta be another way! I’m trying to launch my business and still be a great mom and wife, while homeschooling three of my kids. I’m looking forward to your vlogs 😊🙏

Wow, this resonates so much with me! (as did your book) I’ve got an online violin studio with a RUclips channel and online courses, everything does great and combines ideally working from home as I’m about to birth my third baby in 2 years. However, I recognise exactly what you say that I don’t give voice to things that are important for me and that is helping other moms build a business like me. I’m just as passionate about online business and lifestyle design as I am about the violin. Love to know more about how you transitioned your business and if you followed certain coach trainings? 😊
Hi! Side note, I played Suzuki violin for like 16 years!!!! Ok- well, it was definitely a transition for me. I started with creating my own online course that became the basis of my book, I took A LOT of online courses lol in all things time management / online business / productivity, and then I started implementing over time. It has been a lot of learning, and a lot of fun.
@@ThePossibilityMom cool you played violin too... perhaps one of your kids will. I already did a TON of business coaching/courses/books (addictive isn’t it?) too, so maybe I should just stop doubting I’m ready. 😁

LOVE this. I am a SAHM for 2 almost 3 kids. I had a business but I didn’t like it. I also did B-school, learned a lot, but I haven’t put it into action yet. Staying at home with my kids is great but can also be boring, and i do want to have something on the side too after the little soon to be born baby is a bit bigger (and not on the boob 24-7 anymore 😂). I think you could really help me, as you’re inspiring me already. I am living in The Netherlands but have been in Canada (mainly Ontario) lots of times as we have a lot of family there, loooove Canada (happy Canada Day btw!). Thank you for inspiring me!

Hi Lisa! I have a bachelor degree in Architecture and have been working in the design field for 10 years (2 years abroad and the last 8 years in Canada). I live in Calgary and would love to have some volunteer opportunities in interior design, if available. I have opened my own business this years, and I am trying to manage my time as a business woman, a wife and a mother of two kids under 3.
I really like your channel, as your reality seems to be relatively close to mine.
