I still can’t get over the “paper cut doll” presentation you had in the first videos. It some how let my imagination free in contrast with this style of presentation.
I really like your style sense, I have been trying to emulate the Polo/Ralph Lauren look for a long time. I find your videos informative and full of great ideas on combinations. Thanks!!
Love your presentation style and your approach to menswear. Can you please please 🙏 make a foundational /capsule wardrobe series. I’m talking everything from shoes to hat. Maybe a series for each level of formality .. Formal , Business , Business casual , elevated/smart casual , and casual. Then maybe a capstone video showing how to blend the different clothes from different formalities together. I know I’m asking a lot lol, but I think it would be really good for your channel as there aren’t any comprehensive videos on the subject and your background and style would make for a really good series .
Such a great breakdown of classic style! Navy, camel, and grey are such solid go-to colors for me, and I love how you showed the versatility with simple pieces. Definitely stealing some of these combos with the stuff I have on my wardrobe-thanks for keeping it classy and easy to follow!
Joseph, outstanding! You continue to inspire, and influence, what I wear at home and to work. With the exception of the suede tassel loafers and suede Chelsea boots, I have similar items of clothing in my wardrobe. I’ve been an RL man since attending an All Boys Parochial High school in the 80s; and through my time as a Kappa Sig in college. I acquired my first RL Navy Blue blazer at the RL store near Waikiki, Oahu, HI, circa 1997 when I was a First Lieutenant of Marines. I routinely paired it with white, or light blue, Oxford button down shirts, rep ties, and jeans. Sadly, a few years ago I left the blazer in a car we traded in 😢. My 56th birthday is coming up at the end of the month. Now I think I may treat myself and visit the RL store located in Tysons Corner, Virginia, and get myself a Purple Label Navy Blue Blazer with gold buttons 🇺🇸. Keep on sharing your impeccable good taste and style. Signed, Lieutenant Colonel, USMC (Retired) now a very humble, and well dressed, marketing execute 😉
Great video Jospeh. I like to combine these colors myself. I am glad you mentioned the turtleneck sweaters. I have learned to love these sweaters over the last couple of years. It keeps my neck nice and warm in the harsh Midwest winter. I incorporated mock neck sweaters into my wardrobe as well. Keep up the good work.
Very nice. I love my camel cardigan and neck sweaters with a variety if sports coats. You are right that also having grey and blue really rounds out a flexible system. To keep my look somewhat dressy but avoid a tie for casual - I use pocket square. I have water repellent suede in a captoe and "strand" brogue dress shoes for winter.
What a great video, Joseph! I will become part of your Patreon group! Keep it up! Also, would be possible to get the notebooks of the previous videos? Thanks!
I mostly skip the camel sweater because they seem t' only come in expensy cashmere options mostly, that I prefer lambswool for warmth and such. Would rather have burgundy and green, but still have some grey and other brown things.
Camel more the "old man" color? But also charcoal a bit, but still looks better overall than mid or lit grey. See Dead Poet Society for most sweater needs questions?
Most the nylon things I see are the more John Denver type, BUT there are quilted wool vest options and things, usually more often in Earth Tones, but they can run small and then hard t' close them up or properly layer. I'm less concerned about wearing much blue in the winter months overall t' go out of my way t' find specific things of these more urbane sort or whate'er.
I still don't really like navy tops w' khaki pants, either. Prefer white for more nautical [spring / summer] look or blue chinos for more refined match overall or even grey instead of tan.
Loving the editing. Im just a bit curious about something you casually bring up sometimes, you mention that you used to "design" at ralph lauren, really cool! What position did you hold within the company? Did you ever meet the man himself?
how you only have 3000 subs is crazy. such a great channel
Impressive, high quality, sophisticated content from what is clearly a professional perspective. Thank you!
Great channel, great considered content. Would love one on wool overcoats
Keep up the good work! This is my style and I love seeing your work to draw inspiration for pairings in my current existing wardrobe

04:30 I was told to close the buttons in the 2nd line when wearing a 6-button double breasted jacket, in the 3rd line one open..?
I don't wearin' much sweater or blazer DIS year. Some cold mornings, still, that might require a jacket for the walk.
Ne'er owned any RL. Skip the denim jeans for most elevated looks, obviously.

Just purchased a camel hair blazer
Slightly to big at the shoulders but it’s fine
Thx for the vid
Amazing video! How do you achieve clean look on those mannequins are the layers all the same size? Also where can I get one?
BRAVO!
Blind like for my man!
This video could be called achieving the polo look without buying Ralph Lauren.

Too much navy sweater in this video discussion. Also, I am not a fan of denim jeans with a navy blazer or with a tie!
