- There are more cremation burials in urns than caskets burials these days. Most cemeteries allow several urns to be placed on one lot essentially creating small family plots.
In this video I show how I prepare for an urn burial at the cemetery.

Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. In the next few days I will be preparing a burial site for my recently departed sister’s urn. Video was very informative and tastefully done.
I’ve dug a fair amount of holes and you did well. I’m 75 female and you’re pretty tough! Keep it up and keep on digging.
Sacred work.
Thank you for this video! I will be burying my sister's urn in an urn vault so the hole will have to be bigger and deeper. But, it really helps me to have the visual to made. I had not even thought about removing the grass and putting it back later. Very nice touch. I am also taking some bags of dirt from Home Depot. The country cemetery has very rocky ground and takes a long time for the ground to settle and be even again. I plan on removing the big rocks altogether and adding the bagged dirt.
Thank you so much for showing this. Since your natural composting video I have researched and Indiana does not have this option available. I am now seeking info about the next the closest thing to it. Making calls tomorrow. No wonder you are such a good digger in your garden.
What option are you referring to about IN
Thank you for this video. It was helpful and shows how to do it well. The funeral home was charging 500$ to dig a hole for the urn.
That is a typical price. They have to pay the workers and maintain any sinking, meaning they might have to go back, lift the sod and put more soil in it and then replace the grass. They also have to maintain the lawns for years to come. That price usually includes filing a report to the state and county and maintaining records and paying that person to their work as well.
Thank you, this is exactly what I was wondering about for interring an urn for my Mom.
Thank you. I wasn't sure if urns could be buried too.
EXCELLENT
Great video cutie
That is pretty dry ! I usually take the sod off and put a couple of 5 gal buckets of water in. Makes the hand digging a lot easier.
Oh it is mostly sand in this section, is was an easy dig.
I'm so much interested in this type of jobs .
So what's the difference of the top of yurn and the top of soil
Nice
U need a square shovel.
Your voice is so darn cute
Why not further down?
This is the depth required according to Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board.
Thank you for this! My grandama was recently buried this way and i was wondering how it was done. Thanknyou🥹
