Ok I know some people are going to disagree with me on this, but I actually really like the English version because of 2 reasons. 1. Her tone isn't to far off from her character (like Xiao English version) she grew up with indifferent and distant to human civilization, plus the voice is actually quite soothing. 2. I know this isn't really related to the character but this is the first time Chelsea (The voice of shenhe) voiced a character in a video game. Before she didn't have that many gigs besides some short films, so to go from short films to voicing a character in a very popular game on your first try no doubt, I gotta give you a round of a freaking applause. Yep! The whole Lihue archon quest was a “test or show” that decided who would take zhongli’s gnosis. The adepti was apart of this so called “play/show” and new about the whole thing. Same with signora who was the fatui that was assigned to take his gnosis but childe wasn’t informed abt it and that’s why he got mad. But the citizens of Liyue didn’t know abt this at all. Only the fatui, adepti, zhongli, and qixing knew about this.

Plus don’t let it bug you. Pretty much all characters grow close with the traveler. The devs are never really gonna make one who is and a-hole or passive aggressive towards them.
