After 1 year answering if you still don't know. Lay is from EXO yes. He was part of Exo-M (of the Chinese members) when the group was full 12. Then Lay was removed from the group because of his country, if I'm not mistaken. But it's still part of EXO.

I miss all EXO members so last night, I slept late bcs I binge-watched every funny moments they had that I find here on YT but the fun they had doesn't stop me from tearing up. I came across this video, but refused to watch it as I don't want to cry myself to sleep and wake up with puffy eyes few hours later so I just saved the video and thought I'd watch it at daytime hoping I'd cry less than I could have at night but no. Watching this in a broad daylight still pains me. I'm ugly crying my heart out, bawling my eyes with the wheezes and all. It pains me that Lay couldn't be with the members whenever he wants to. It pains me that he can't be having fun with them in the same place, day and time. It pains me to think they aren't under the same skies bcs they are separated oceans away. And it pains me so much too that they all miss Lay and Lay misses them too but can't go see each other that instat. We're down the last 3 days of March 2022, and their 10th debut anniversary is fast approaching. I know that Lay's contract is expiring (from what I know, K members contracts are extended due to military enlistment but Lay doesn't have to enlist as he's Chinese) and it's still uncertain if he's going to renew or not and to be honest, I am afraid of the fact that he "might" one day depart from the group given his busy schedule in China. But whatever his decisions are, I am going to support him like how I'll do with other members bcs he deserves it too. Yixing stayed with the group in spite of members' departure and despite going through so much, he remained one with them by heart that's why he deserves to be acknowledged too. He deserves the love from EXOLs -Xingmis or not. (Thank you Lay for staying. 🥺) Also I hope he remains friends with the members and may their friendship lasts 🥺 I am praying he's part of their comeback and may he sees his members again. I don't know if he'll be there in the upcoming #1ΞX0 event but I rly hope he can come. Okay I'm out, gotta cry. 😭😭😭😭

And because of Lay being the Youth Ambassador in a province in China and EXO being the K-Pop's Representative, "Nation's Pick", EXO can't do activities and promotions with Lay. Juanis Kawa bc of the tensions between Korea and China and also the fact the he is a youth ambassador (a sort of gov position) so tht makes it even more difficult to promote with exo.SM already risked it when they included lay in the tempo mv. I miss all EXO members so last night, I slept late bcs I binge-watched every funny moments they had that I find here on YT but the fun they had doesn't stop me from tearing up. I came across this video, but refused to watch it as I don't want to cry myself to sleep and wake up with puffy eyes few hours later so I just saved the video and thought I'd watch it at daytime hoping I'd cry less than I could have at night but no. Watching this in a broad daylight still pains me. I'm ugly crying my heart out, bawling my eyes with the wheezes and all. It pains me that Lay couldn't be with the members whenever he wants to. It pains me that he can't be having fun with them in the same place, day and time. It pains me to think they aren't under the same skies bcs they are separated oceans away. And it pains me so much too that they all miss Lay and Lay misses them too but can't go see each other that instat. We're down the last 3 days of March 2022, and their 10th debut anniversary is fast approaching. I know that Lay's contract is expiring (from what I know, K members contracts are extended due to military enlistment but Lay doesn't have to enlist as he's Chinese) and it's still uncertain if he's going to renew or not and to be honest, I am afraid of the fact that he "might" one day depart from the group given his busy schedule in China. But whatever his decisions are, I am going to support him like how I'll do with other members bcs he deserves it too. Yixing stayed with the group in spite of members' departure and despite going through so much, he remained one with them by heart that's why he deserves to be acknowledged too. He deserves the love from EXOLs -Xingmis or not. (Thank you Lay for staying. 🥺) Also I hope he remains friends with the members and may their friendship lasts 🥺 I am praying he's part of their comeback and may he sees his members again. I don't know if he'll be there in the upcoming #1ΞX0 event but I rly hope he can come. Okay I'm out, gotta cry. 😭😭😭😭

Juanis Kawa bc of the tensions between Korea and China and also the fact the he is a youth ambassador (a sort of gov position) so tht makes it even more difficult to promote with exo.SM already risked it when they included lay in the tempo mv. The thing tht makes me happy though is the fact that lay visits Korea frequently to see his members and the fact that they still talk on the group chat. I do hope that one day he can fully promote with exo and he wouldn’t have to worry abt the Chinese gov
