ok,he did a good job,the only regular person doing leaf spring set up,i was surprised to see the spring differences side to side, thats what I was looking for.also add a leafs add 1.5 to 3 inches of lift, all depends on add a leaf spring you get and wear of your leaf springs.good job homie, thumbs up,do more videos, were all not perfect but unless someone makes a mistake while doing something well never know what to look out for.
Will this also work on 2011 Frontier pickup? My suspension is sitting low in the back and when i fill the bed level with compost cow manuer it sits almost on the bumpers. I would love to be able to carry extra few hundred pounds or be sitting higher. My pickup is just the stock model so I do not know if the axel and bearings are heavy duty enough for 1500lb load.
Gabor Kertesz I purchased long U bolts from Auto Zone or one the chains, i used those and cut a little off the ends because they stuck farther out of the bottom plate.
Want me to remake the whole video, 6 years later? Lmao I was 17, don't even have the truck anymore. AFAIK, this is the best video you got specific to an Xterra, which is why I made it.
Gotta love a young man in his driveway doing his own mechanic work ... way to go 👍
Can u make a video of the truck after the lift

Too much wind. Could not hear him on a lot of peices. And he said no matter what don't forget (wind).
Excellent work! How’s it going so far? You are so on it about squeaks. Any squeaks with the dry lube thus far?
No squeaks, no issues. Sank maybe a 1/4in after 6 months.
Dude holding the channel locks backwards

HealthSupercharger Definitely doable for your frontier. Same exact setup, same exact parts haha.
Gotchya😉
What was the spray you were using to stop the squeaks?
I want to say it's WD 40 branded dry lube
Did you need new U-bolts?
It is always recommended to use new Ubolts to ensure the threads are tight, rather safe than sorry
How much overall lift did you get out of this mod ?
being an 07, i was sagging almost a inch and a half. so adding brand new leafs added that back. add the AAL and i got about 2.5 ovedall
Did you need longer U-bolts to reinstall ? Or anything else that doesn't come with the leaves ?
Gabor Kertesz I purchased long U bolts from Auto Zone or one the chains, i used those and cut a little off the ends because they stuck farther out of the bottom plate.
Did you cut the new pin down?
Rob Perez the new center pin fit well enough without trimming, thanks to the AAL, but without it might’ve needed a bit. the U Bolts needed trim
@@memefpv Stock ubolts needed trimming?
@@memefpv nevermind, I have a 2004 Xterra
WD-40 is a drying agent
Keith Wheeler Thanks, I was using WD-40 Dry Lubricant. Not regular WD-40
dude! the wind is effing with your mic... I can't hear a frigging word... im a newbie that needs to hear the instructions and I can't hear anything

@@memefpv Looks perfectly fine to me, don't even need to hear you, just gotta see what you're doing and that's all we needed. Thank you!
