I was so disappointed when the video cut off and didn’t show the washing machine in action. I’ve been struggling over which machine to buy and desperately looking for a video of this machine. I truly appreciate you posting as much as you did. How about wash , rinse, spin?
Sorry, it is a pretty standard wash cycle. Spins very quick, wash agitation is less aggressive than our old machine, but everything gets clean with no problems. Rinse is based on size of the load and wash cycle type.
@@HuskerNKC I bought this one and it agitates in slow motion compared to the older ones. If I had known that this is the new technology, I would have had my old one repaired. How do clothes come clean with the little water it uses?
The washing machine game has definitely changed. When I say the machines of today are truly fancy. I will be moving soon and I’m looking for a new machine because I’m not taking the one I have with me
I just had one installed. It seemed like it worked ok at first but the second load I washed, I had problems pushing and selecting the temp, spin level and soil level. I kept trying to push the selector buttons but they would barely move, if at all. So I would be stuck on warm water and the other features wouldn't work either. I believe it's a defect. So, I called for a replacement to be installed. Hope it works much better .
Just got mine today and your video is great. Much clearer than the manual. Hope you will explain in more detail what the option buttons are for. The cold water wash info was greatly appreciated. What cycle do you put towels on? Thank you so much and I will look for more videos😊
I’m actually pretty happy with mine. Kinda haPpened by fate. Ordered a Samsung. Waited anxiously for a week. It shows up, it’s all banged up still in the box. Dude tells me it would be foolish to take. I couldn’t wait another week, went to store, they had this. I took it home lol. Was out of box apparently the agitator wasn’t spinning so they fixed. But it does clean pretty good. And it’s quiet af. And the clear glass lid is perfect for hitting the pipe and staring mindlessly into its soul while it washes. Just wish the cluster wasn’t all touch screen buttons. Those always have issues. And mine is outside
JUST got this washer And my main concern is the water level suppose to fill up that little? Assuming the machine decides on the water level by the weight of the load?
Can I wash a queen size comforter in this machine if I use DEEP FILL will it cover the ENTIRE comforter with water? I am very conflicted between getting this LG or a SpeedQueen TC5 because I much prefer old school washers... but sadly the SpeedQueen is only 3.2 cu ft in size... thanks!
I would have kept that old direct drive whirlpool around, those machines are amazing and nothing you buy today can even come close to them, maybe a speed queen but still, that LG is not gonna perform nearly as well as that good ole direct drive
I mean it is a direct drive motor with a 10 year warranty compared to whirlpools 5 year or less. Does whirlpool even make direct drive washing machines anymore? This LG is an inverter direct drive which means it gives more precise control to the torque and spin and lowers the noise and wear.
There are several videos on RUclips that go over how to remove it. If it isn't seized up and stuck on it is fairly simple. If it is seized up it may take some hard work. I haven't ahd any issues with brown residue and we have pretty hard water here.
i just had this delivered.....how long do you hold the start? no instructions in washer! also i don't feel cold water.......i noticed you pushed the button on temp....THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP
Make sure the lid is closed and hold it until you hear the click of the lid locking. I only change the temp if I need to. If it is hooked up correctly it will be cold when set to cold and hot on hot. You can get a manual online. Look up your model on the website or even just Google for it and you will find it. Could also call customer service for help.
Im back again because you have been so helpful. Ive been washing a lot of toddler clothes with food stuck or dried up on the clothes sometimes. I notice that some things like rice or seaweed remain in the wash or show up later when i wash another load... are the little pieces of food not draining? Any tips? Thank you so much...
Bigger pieces/chunks may not drain well or may get caught in the clothes and not dissolve to be able to drain. I would just check for big pieces first and wipe it into the trash. Just like dumping large pieces of food off of a plate before putting it in the dishwasher.
Got it... they're really not big chunks at all but I have been and will continue to scrape any food scraps off! But I still see old food scraps...when I do new loads..hopefully with time they will drain out!! Really, thank you so so much for your prompt and thoughtful response!!!
I notice you did not balance out the load, don't you have to do that? Thanks for explaining the spin in the beginning thought I did something wrong. Bought this online after having a Maytag for 30 years and was surprised to see all the options.
As long as you are close in the balance it is fine. Especially if it is small items like clothing. If it was large coats, comforters, etc I would take more care.
That is an overload error. So it may be the load is too large or it might just need a reset. Turn it off. Unplug it. Press and hold the start/pause for 5+ seconds. Plug it back in and turn it back on. If it is gone you should be good to go. If not then you might contact customer support.
Do you still have and like this washer? We just purchased it and the normal wash cycle doesn’t get everything wet. I’ve read your responses regarding this topic. I’m just curious if you have a favorite cycle or setting for a normal weekly clothes cycle?
Just got this machine and your review has been so helpful. Quick question... can you add softener with the detergent or do you wait until the rinse cycle? Also, how do you add garments? Just open the lid when the add garments light turn on?
We don't typically use fabric softener, but you should be able to just pour it into the dispenser and it will take care of it automatically. Do you mean add garments in the middle of a cycle? Just use the pause and unlock option and add them in is what we have done, but that typically is only 1 forgotten shirt or something small. Otherwise we just load them before starting.
Has anyone figured out how to run a soak cycle? I tried to let the machine fill up, agitate for a bit, and then open the lid for about 15 minutes, go back to finish running the normal cycle and it had drained all of the water!
I got an lg top load washer and it doesn’t clean our clothes properly. There is always wet dirt/stains still caked on the clothing. My old school washer was great, the clothes came out clean.
Sorry you are having issues, we have had no issues. Everything comes out clean, plus it is faster and uses less water. Sorry you haven't had the same experience.
Hi, I just got this washer but when it drains the water from the tube it over flows & gets my floor / carpet wet. My pipe that’s connects to my house isn’t clogged I called Lowe’s & they are no help! The deliver guys didn’t even install it for me which I did & im just having all kinds of problems
So the washer drains and the overflowing is coming from the tube? Do you mean where the drain tube goes into the wall or where the drain tube connects to the washing machine? If it is the wall then you need to make sure the drain tube is in far enough and if it is then it is for sure clogged in there somewhere. You may need to clean out that drain pipe. There are several videos online showing lots of different solutions for this, but it is definitely clogged in that pipe somewhere if it is leaking back out of that pipe. Your old washer may not have caused it to leake because it may not have drained as quickly and the water had time to seep through the clog. If it is from the machine then you don't have it connected properly.

I've been looking at new washers for the last 4 years. I can not find anything that out performs my old $200 washer, and never had to repair it. Add the clothes, choose your wash cycle, add your detergent (or save it for after the soak if you just want to presoak in water), wait for the water to fill and then hit the pause button. There is no soak feature so you must pause then you can turn it one. There is a preset safety timer if the lid is open with water it will drain after 4 minutes, if the lid is closed with water in it and you hit pause it will drain after 60 minutes. In both cases, it will lose all settings once the drain cycle starts.

I am not sure what might be going on as I have had no issues. I would turn off the hot at the wall, then get a bucket and turn it on to double check it is coming out hot. If it is, then your washing machine wouldn't be cooling it down so if the machine is giving cold water it is coming from the wrong place for some reason. You said it is for sure hooked up right so I would start with a call to LG to troubleshoot and then go from there.
@@HuskerNKC OK. Thanks! Yes, it was verified to be correctly installed. Hot water is coming out, but strangely it is coming out cool to warm when I use "Normal" and I select Hot. Thank you. I'll give LG a call.
@@peterl7589 I don't have an LG washer, but on my old Whirlpool, when I first got it, I found that on "warm" the water was too cool. I turned down the cold water faucet part way, until it was as warm as I wanted. It does make it take a little longer when rinsing with cold water, but it worked for me.
Do you use the bleach dispenser? I just got this one and am returning a GE impeller one. Aside from other issues, I did a bleach wash with extra rinse in the GE. Next wash had bleach spots! Also, what liquid detergents work in this LG? LG has no recommendations. Does Arm & Hammer HE Free and Clear gunk it up? Thanks.
Sorry I haven't answered this yet. We don't bleach often, maybe once or twice a month, but have had no issues. We use the bleach dispenser when we do bleach. We also use the soap dispenser (instead of pouring directly on the clothes) because it was made to be used that way so should get the best results that way.
@@HuskerNKC thank you. I have been adding diluted bleach to the drum then adding the white items without a problem. I find it hard to pour the detergent into it's compartment without getting it all over the drawer. The drawer doesn't seem to pull out enough to get it in the little hole, so I don't think I'd try it with bleach there. I may never use the bleach dispenser, but I'm glad it works for you.
My wife does most of the washing (by choice because she doesn't trust me), but it is easy for both of us to use. Trust the water level and agitation amount it does on its own, your clothes will get clean despite it being gentler and less water than most people expect. We have had 0 maintenance issues and 0 clean clothes issues. We have been very happy with it!
What do you think about the water level it chooses? I just got it today and started a load of towels on normal cycle with warm water. It didn't cover the towels completely with water before it started agitating. I panicked and turned it on deep wash instead.
The water level is fine. You don't need things completely covered to get clean. They need to be saturated and able to agitate and rub against each other. That action is what loosens and removes the dirt. The deep wash adds more water to help dilute the dirt and soil in very heavily soiled loads. Why waste the water in other situations? It's one of the times where you trust the manufacturer, they don't want to put out a product that doesn't work. No one would buy it. They have engineers, designers, and scientists all working to get you the cleanest and most cost efficient end product as possible so they can sell more and make money. If their wash cycles don't work their sales would plummet. Try it as it was meant to run and you shouldn't have any issues. I haven't...
@@HuskerNKC I'll give it a try. Thank you for the input. I think im so used to having one that I choose the water level that I don't know anything else so I panicked thinking the towels would get damaged.
@@ryanbishop1987 what do u think of the water level so far? I'm thinking of returning it. Plus mine won't chime. It did when I first turned it on but never chimed again. It won't even wet the clothes when washing I mean like 1% water. They are dry rubbing
It doesn't trun the clothes over, but they don't need to to get it clean. Because the water and wash cycle is set up by load type and size the clothes rub together much more than a standard washing machine. There is no need for the agitation to be aggressive to do a great job cleaning even heavily soiled clothes.
Have seen these things wash and am not impressed. A big load and the clothes by the edge of the tub barely move. If they can really get grimy work clothes clean then I will change my view. I know it won't clean like a Direct drive old school washer.
@@patcola7335 so I'm several months in, however old this video is, and have yet to have clothes come out dirty. As I've said to other commentors, the agitation on newer machines works more efficiently than older machines so it doesn't have to be as aggressive. Your clothes will last longer. By matching the water to the load size the detergent is not as diluted and the clothes rub together more which is what actually cleans it. Modern washers and modern detergents work more efficiently this way. Companies don't want to make a product that doesn't work... They wouldn't make any money.
@@HuskerNKC As long as you're happy that's all that matters. I comment because I had a wash plate washer at one time. My clothes last fine in my agitator washers.
My 20 year old washing machine just died!.i only use cold water,to save on propane so was checking out what coldwash is.if it works in reality or a useless, expensive word they just add on. Probably would go for more expensive one with turbo drum and no agitator so at least you get 4.5 .lol then up to $764. But probably great if your a cold water only guy like me.and all those nice looking side loaders seem to just self destruct
Cold water wash adds extra agitation time and works great. We wash most of our clothes on cold, but not all. The size easily fits a king size comforter with no issues.
We love it. My wife does most of the washing, but it is still super easy for me to use. It has good features for the price and works very well. We have washed king sized comforters, throw pillows, clothes of course, and very dirty clothes with no issues. Everything comes out clean and it uses just the right amount of water each time.
So I ended up purchasing this and have had it for about 2.5 weeks! Have you noticed any holes in your clothing? I have had 2 cotton shirts come out of the washer with small holes in them!
@@HuskerNKC @Katie G I recently bought this machine as well. I truly like how simple it is to operate and it is very quiet. However, I am not impressed by the agitation...every cycle seems like it is on gentle cycle. The clothes only rotate from side to side and not from top to bottom. I rarely have heavy soiled clothes but I wish the agitation was a bit harder or rotated differently. Last thing, have you noticed that sometimes on the rinse cycle the water level completely fills up even on a small load? Please share your thoughts as I am within my warranty to send back and exchange.
@@akbrew5231 the rinse cycle adds enough water to get all of the soap out so sometimes it is fuller from what I've seen. For the agitator we have done some heavily soiled loads and they have come out clean. Kids soccer game grass stains, ice cream spilled, mud from going in the creek, and more. The agitation works because the water level is set by the amount of clothes. By keeping the water lower the detergent is a stronger percent in the water and the clothes rub together more which is what acts as the scrubbing action to remove stains. We have been completely happy!
Got one for christmas last year direct drive or something and have had problems since day 1. Started a load went to lay down for a nap woke up to find my kitchen ,hallway, dining room and bedroom flooded with water opened the lid and the tub was filled to the top with water this happened 3x. The loads take all day to wash 1 load water barely covers clothes. It shakes crazy loud when spinning it sounds like its gears or bolts sre gonna come off i dont like it at all very disappointed
It sounds like you got a lemon or something is wrong with it and you need to contact the company. Overfilling 3 times is a sensor issued, takin all day I have no idea, ours is faster than any other washing machine I have personally used, it shaking crazy loud sounds like the load is out of balance or the feet weren't leveled. I haven't had a single issue since we got it 2 years ago. Contact the company if you have those types of issues, but I can't do anything about it.
Yes, it has been great. Cleans well despite what some other commenters think about the water levels or agitation methods. I have never had to rewash a load, no matter how dirty.
Hi. does the machine have noise-vibration reduction? I just bought a GE model and had to send it back for a refund because the decibels were alarmingly loud, and the appliance shook its booty repeatedly (Better than most dancers I know).
@@garden0fstone736 wdym? i didn’t assume anything i was just saying i never seen a agitator thats fully plastic because the agitator on the 7305 has a sliver cap while on this one its just plastic
No issues at all and it is definitely an upgrade over our old machine. We have already used the waterproof and bedding specialty cycles, but not the deep wash. I like that it chooses the load size and water amount on its own.
For this washer it is not a "smart" washer so adding it to the app doesn't add any functionality. I have it added to the LG app by registering it, but all it does is take me to trouble shooting and diagnostics, no actual washer control.
We have had good luck with whites coming UT clean and not dingy. Even undershirts that get more sweat. Part of the issue with whites is often the detergent and not so much a washer issue.
I'm very confused by this statement... The video literally shows a normal medium load with cold water with a time of 53 minutes. Warm and hot loads are slightly shorter. That would fit right in your 45-50 minute range like old machines. Obviously adding extra rinse or different options willl change those times, but it runs the same amount of time as our old washer did. The biggest change we have seen is that the dryer is faster so a wash and dry cycle are nearly the same now and we aren't constantly waiting on loads to dry.
@@HuskerNKC Yeah I just got the Lg today but my Samsung was a a regular load was from 67 to 87 minutes depending on soil setting. Then when it senses the load it ends up being 90 minutes & up. So hopefully this LG won’t be as long. Thanks
I apologize for not foreseeing your requirements on the video made last year. I did not think people would want to watch a washing machine working as it is pretty standard.
Just purchased this machine. How are you liking it? Any tips on what u find works best?
My wife does most of the washing (by choice because she doesn't trust me), but it is easy for both of us to use. Trust the water level and agitation amount it does on its own, your clothes will get clean despite it being gentler and less water than most people expect. We have had 0 maintenance issues and 0 clean clothes issues. We have been very happy with it!
@@HuskerNKC mine isn't chiming and the manual doesn't say how to turn on the chime.
@@JohnDoe-gk4kn press and hold the “Cold Wash” button for 3 seconds.
Where do you put it so that it can add more water?
@@ryanbishop1987 actually if you read my replies to other comments the less water means less agitation which means less wear, but still fully clean.
I did the same thing and panicked until I came across this video. Now I'm quite impressed with the new technology.
@@ryanbishop1987 what do u think of the water level so far? I'm thinking of returning it. Plus mine won't chime. It did when I first turned it on but never chimed again. It won't even wet the clothes when washing I mean like 1% water. They are dry rubbing
I was wondering if the agitator is good enough to turn the clothes over? The LG WT73005CW doesn't seem to move the clothes much at all.
Podrías hacer un vídeo de como lava . Es que estoy indecisa . Quiero saber cómo talla
It fits a lot of clothes or a king size comforter with no issue. I give more explanations in the other comments.
Does it fill up for the rinse cycle, or just a spray rinse?
Fills up based on load size and type.
Any update on how you are liking the washer? Looking into this one currently but hard to find reliable reviews since it is so new!
@@katieg9754 not at all. That's strange.
@@HuskerNKC @Katie G
I recently bought this machine as well.
Are you still satisfied with the washer? No issues?
Yes, it has been great. Cleans well despite what some other commenters think about the water levels or agitation methods. I have never had to rewash a load, no matter how dirty.
Is there a filter you need to clean??
Sorry for the delayed reply, yes there is a filter for the pump on the bottom back of the washer. Check and clean every 6 months or so.

Hi. does the machine have noise-vibration reduction? I just bought a GE model and had to send it back for a refund because the decibels were alarmingly loud, and the appliance shook its booty repeatedly (Better than most dancers I know).
It is not loud at all and I have not had any vibration or noise-vibration issues.

Hi! I just purchased this machine, how are you liking it? Have you had any issues with it?
No issues at all and it is definitely an upgrade over our old machine. We have already used the waterproof and bedding specialty cycles, but not the deep wash. I like that it chooses the load size and water amount on its own.
Thank you!
@@HuskerNKC I was not expecting a video on this machine so soon after it hit the market. But thanks for uploading this vid
Como activar el sonido de la lavadora?
Can I connect this to the app and if so how ?
For this washer it is not a "smart" washer so adding it to the app doesn't add any functionality. I have it added to the LG app by registering it, but all it does is take me to trouble shooting and diagnostics, no actual washer control.
Are these more reliably than the 3.5 cu ft whirlpool agitator washer with any better results with whites?
We have had good luck with whites coming UT clean and not dingy. Even undershirts that get more sweat. Part of the issue with whites is often the detergent and not so much a washer issue.
@@HuskerNKC Hi, I would love to see more videos with this washer.
Love lg washers compared to Samsung washers.
My husband bought one. I don't like it at all. Doesn't even add enough water to cover the clothes.
Why did old machines take 45-50 minutes all these new ones take all day to do a load 🤦♂️
@@HuskerNKC
Yeah I just got the Lg today but my Samsung was a a regular load was from 67 to 87 minutes depending on soil setting. Then when it senses the load it ends up being 90 minutes & up. So hopefully this LG won’t be as long. Thanks
why would you stop it right at the point of it actually washing ??? WTF!!!
I apologize for not foreseeing your requirements on the video made last year. I did not think people would want to watch a washing machine working as it is pretty standard. I can describe it, water fills, the water and clothing slosh around, it drains and spins, then it rinses, drains and spins again. If I failed to meet your needs feel free to find another video that shows what you are looking for.
Good answer
??????? Junk!!!
Not sure how I can help you...
