FF 10 will always be the greatest FF game and I'll probably end up playing it again. I want to like FFX2, the outfit idea is cool but I always end up putting this game away less than half way through.
Nice work. FF6 is God Tier, no question. Ahead of its time and still holds up today. FF2 is worse than bad ... brutal mechanics. Worst RPG I've ever played. You were generous with FF8 ... it's issues cap its overall grade whenever it must be graded.
I'm gonna have to disagree with FF2 unless we're talking over world and dungeon design. Otherwise if we're talking the backwards Leveling system and the Keyword that's nit picking to make the game seem worse then what it actually is. And I've got counter arguments for those 2 categories too. There's no level cap I love RPGs like this as it allows me to max out each stats(maxing out stats in all Final Fantasy games especially FF10 is extremely time consuming so FF2 isn't the only one) and keyword only requires you to interact with NPCs in the game which you already do in other Final Fantasy games anyways. FF1 is a good example with its fetch quest and circling around back track etc... I like all FF games except FF3 as I found it to be more of a giant plot rather then a joyful experiment!!! That's just my opinion though.
I've played most of these games and I would put 6 in god tier for the time it came out. No other rpg was even close at the time of it's release. Hands down best villian when you think you near the end and won keep in mind this was back in the day before the internet the world blew up and the villain won. You had to regroup most of your heroes to avenge the world in the chaos and turmoil state it was.
To be fair 2 and 5 didn't come to the U.S. till years later. However I agree with 2 about the villain winning at first as the further you progress in the game the more the world gets destroyed. I would disagree with 5 while FF5 is one of my favorites in the series I don't think our heros ever lost to Ex Death. I know Galuf sacrifices himself and his grand daughter takes his place outside of that though Ex Death didn't win. Maybe one I'd say comes close is FF9 since the party technically doesn't kill Kuja. He wipes out your squad as well as himself it was more of a suicide moment for him. However according to theroies he did have just enough power to get the characters out of purgatory or the "Zero World" where they had to fight Necron.
@@thevangsta9892 V is the exact same as VI. EX DEATH destroys half the World, sucks it into the Void, and the more time you take finding more legendary weapons to find him, the more parts of the world are sucked in. He kills probably 60% of the population. It's just that the V Party are way more competent and go to destroy him ASAP, while in VI they take a vacation for about a Year to go wake up their girlfriends, or get in a cult. EX DEATH also sucks into the VOID forever and kills whoever is KO'd, and they are gone, until Galuf save them. Also, EX DEATH did it by himself, in VI Kefka didn't do it, he just used the Warring Triad. I agree about II. Emperor in my opinion is the actual Villain that should be attributed everything that Kefka did. I understand that II didn't come out in the US, but US centric releases don't matter, II still exists. I'm from Greece and the first FF released here was VII, with that logic VI wouldn't count too.
@@KonEl17 Your comment does not make any sense. You are talking about quality and personal preference. I am talking about something different, the fact that what VI did wasn't novel, but something that had been done before by II and V. Especially II. Basically, your comment was irrelevant to the topic. Now, regarding personal preference and subjective quality, II is amazing, a masterpiece to be honest, and V is better than VI.
Got a like from me. Your thumbnail threw me off so hard - since I played FF13 and 7 remake/rebirth. FF13 was so grindy, I never grew too attached to the characters, and it felt like we were always on the run since every chapter was like aa big dungeon without any resting spots - no hubs! FF7 Remake/Rebirth was my first experience of FF7. I used to be a KH fan and didn't understand why people loved FF7, after playing Remake/Rebirth, I fell in love with the characters, the story (even though it was slightly changed). The combat was thrilling and just felt great for me. Honestly turned me into a more mature gamer who liked the vibe of FF7 more than KH now. So I 1000% agree with your take on FF7 being God Tier!
Top 3. IV, VII, and X. I haven’t played XI or XIV so I can’t rank those. Our biggest differences are V and XV where those are reverse. Ardyn(pre-dlc) is fantastic but the story, battle system, world, other characters were kinda forgettable to me. My controversial take is VI is top of mid. I enjoyed the beginning but it started falling apart for me after the opera scene. For context my first playthrough was in the psx anthology collection. So while it wasn’t a part of the initial release, it was still within a respectable release window(pre X).
I like X, the story is really good, but the main characters are not that good 😩 my opinion Story 9/10 Characters 5/10 (I don't like them very much, some of them are just annoying or boring) Ff vii Story 7/10 Characters 9.5/10 Ffviii Story 9/10 Characters 8/10 Ffix Story 9/10 Characters 9/10 Ffxiii Story 7/10 Characters 7.5/10 Ffxv story 9/10 Characters 9/10 Ffxvi story 9.8/10 Characters 9/10
Id kill for a 13 trilogy remaster. I plat all 3 games man but if they could make improvements to the combat of 13-1, improve graphics, add 60 fps and more options for the difficulty and speeding the pace of the game I'd definitely play it again. Also, FF2 is the worst in the series for me, and 10 is probably my favorite with 6 pretty close to it. 15 is mid af. Outside everything u mentioned, the combat and lv of challenge is just non existant and busted.
I myself disliked 8 and would never put it on the same level as final fantasy 6 but that's just my opinion. The draw system was such a horrible aspect of 8 again in my opinion.
Overall, a very muddles list my man. You kept bouncing back and forth between "this is my opinion" and "people would say that..." Be Bold, dare to stake your own opinions.
Despite what I said in the moment, looking back on it, I think this list accurately displays how I feel about the series as a whole. I don't think anything is really out of place cause any issues the community may have with these titles, I tend to agree.
As long as it's 100% his opinion then it's ok. If he's going based off of resources and others opinion then I agree. Play the games and finish them from beginning to end first before making a final conclusion to give every game a fair shot and chance!!

Ff6,7,8,9,10,7 remake,16 are my favorite games in the series closely followed by 12 and at the very bottom of the barrel is 13

It already happened in II and V. Nothing novel about what VI did.

I will NOT stand for this FF2 slander. I LOVE the mechanics in 2
Finally someone with brains and good taste!!!
I've never felt a a tier list hurt me more than this and I can't believe we're friends...
On that note, FF7 Compilation tier list when?

Not surprised that seven made the list twice.
My top three from these are 14, 10 and 4
Speaking as someone who loves VIII and wasn't enamored with IX, THANK YOU.

List was decent til 15 that game is MID
My favorite Final Fantasy is probably 7 or 8... but 10 and 15 are pretty good as well. Never played 4 or 6
Ahhh. Everything is exactly where it belongs. Very nice ^^
6 was peak and all down hill from there, save for 9 and 10.
Ff14 on god tier?
say no more man
i agree with this list
I appreciate the time you take to do this list, but if you have yet to play 13-2 & 13-3, you can’t fully make this list.

A D for FF7? You must be trolling us
FF7 is God tier man. Thumbnail baited ya.
As soon as I saw you put 2 or as it's known 4 that low I stopped the video. Good luck to you.
he literally said right at the beginning that he was using the NA 4 box art to represent FF2
@kennokai I know, but it's his ranking I disagree with. It's OK it's his list, just not the same opinion, so I'm not interested. Thx
1) XIV
2) VIII
3) VII
4) V
All the others are close. But these are my absolute Top 4. I don't know what is #5.
PS: VIII does not have flaws.
VIII is dookie
@@johnsalchichon3605 If that means an absolute Masterpiece, we agree!
It IS a Masterpiece!!!
Lost respect with the FF15 ranking. It's easily the worst in the series. Pathetic game
