A question no one ever covers when doing these videos. So before you shoot, it looks like a bottom hand cradle, I see every player that's good do what looks like a bottom hand cradle during their wind up.

Try practicing on the wall - pass the ball against the wall and when you do make sure the head of your stick never goes lower than the but of your stick. If you do that, the ball can't fall out!

He's just winding up. Everyone does it differently. It doesn't make your shot any better.

It's your wind up. Basically do a "motor-cycle start" motion with your bottom hand, it's helpful for many reasons like keeping the ball in the pocket and overall looking badass.
Set up cones or mark a spot where you want to improve your shot from. Have someone pass you a ball and get a quick shot off. Or set up different cones and dodge/run through them then score

when your shooting you may be hanging your stick to low when winding up so when you are winding up try to make sure your stick is positioned higher in the air.

I'm relatively new to lacrosse and I got a quick question: How come some people cradle with their lower hand on the stick when they are in the shooting position. When a person's stick is behind them, up in the air, almost behind them, and i see some players cradling with their bottom hand. Is it important you cradle with your lower hand?
it just makes sure the ball is settled. if you cradle with ur top hand in shooting position you lose way too much power and end up in bad form
any tips on shooting with a long pole? overhand seems too inconsistent.

So all you need to do to pick a corner is look at it but it doesn't work so for instance let's say I wanted to roof the shot left or right I have to keep my eyes on the corner of the net if someone could help me I would appreciate
Also my shot will slowly start to lower in elevation is that too little of power on the shot

+Amber Lisicki if u just run around the ball is gonna fall out same thing if ur not cradling and ur stick gets hit, the balls gonna pop out. if u cradle it wont fall out

To keep the ball in your stick while shooting and cradling in the same time you need to deepen your pocket
One thing every tut forgets is to tell people to stay loose so that it is a strong fluid motion instead of a stiff motin.

string a pocket with more hold/whip. it will change the release point of the ball but you just have to adjust to it.
