    The height is too much obviously, but i rly like how he is nice to the horse after the jump anyway and espacially the basic tack on the head of this horse, almost rare to see in the big jumpings today

    This proves that these new bits aren't really needed unless your horse is uncontrollable. His puissance horse who is going to be as excited as a coiled spring is in a snaffle. Hats off 100%

      The old snaffles are harsher than the new ones which is why the lozenge was introduced ..the old snaffles work like a nutcracker and hit the roof of the horses mouth

      Meg Louise I personally believe that if the horse is truly happy I’m a stronger bit, then I see no harm. Stronger bits are made so that the horse doesn’t have to be pulled on all the time with weaker bit. I understand that people abuse bits, but most people know what they’re doing 😊

      Emily Jacobs that may be true for things like cow ponies, but most show jumpers have been bred for jumping. Trust me- a horse will let you know if he’s in pain or not happy.

    It’s sad to know that this amazing horse has surely passed away probably two decades ago or possibly more. They looked like such a lovely horse and had so much trust in their rider

    Jumping this high isn't the best thing in the world for the horse but the guy has great horsemanship. He congratulated the horse after and didn't get angry with the horse for knocking it over.

      "Back in the day", David Broome was one of the v best Showjumping professionals. He was very talented, kind and treated his horses with utmost respect and kindness.

    Lets just say it, the trust the rider's got on the horse the trust the horse's got on the rider is incredible aparr for the bravery you need. Wow, hats off to them.

      The rare horse in minecraft is jumping 5 blocks up 9-9 but they are very very very slow as heck but I did my experiments and I cross a horse that has way speed with that horse and the 5 block jumping horse, the other horse doesn't jump 5 but 4 block and also is fast atleast is something :3.
      The fast horse has to be very fast and doesn't jump 2 blocks. :^ that how I did it. Unless Minecraft change that.

    Got David Brooms autograph at tbe Horse of the Year Show in 1978... he, Harvey Smith, Graham Fletcher, Ted Edgar, Liz Edgar, Paul Shockemuler, Marion Mould... I grew up watching them compete, Hickstead, HotYS, Olympics, Aachen... back when the Beeb did a stellar job covering these shows.

      He's a legend the way his horses went just beautifully balanced and he was just so good against the clock. You must have been at the Wales at West he seems like a really nice bloke I saw him on the tractor there before a few years ago 😀

      I tell you what, some horses love jumping. So much in fact they will pull towards a jump like mini lunatics. The horse didn't make it due to a turn that was way too tight on approach, he should have gone round the bed of flowers seeing as this wasn't timed

    "Cruel" is not the right word for this. You can't force a 1,000 pound animal with its own mind to do anything... but in the long run, jumping this high isn't really that good for any horse's legs.

    @collingwoodluva201 Im not being funny but this is not cruel. These horse were BORN to jump, they don't know any different... normally the riders have to pull the horse back because they are so keen... if the horse didn't want to do it, then it wouldnt!=)

      MelodyiLove1000 horses aren’t naturally born to jump but many enjoy it and this certainly wasn’t abuse. This horse would have had a very long complex and well foundation to jump this high

      Horses aren't "born" to jump, they're not even born to be ridden. We should strive to do whatever we can do to ensure their needs are met. And a horse needs grass and the ability to be outside and walk, not to jump insane jumps like this

    Jumping is not good for the horses.
    It it really bad on their hoves.
    Horses in the wild hardly ever jump.
    Then you add extra weight to the horse with a rider on their back that's like having a person jump 3 feet hordles with 30 pound weights on their back

      Its not in a bad position. Horses are incredibly intelligent. If the horse thought he’d have gotten hurt, he wouldn’t have jumped

      @@whynotbeanequestrian8181 because we choose to drive a car ourselves, no one forces us. And don't tell me "the horse didn't have to jump if it hadn't wanted to" that's bullshit. No horse voluntarily jumps this high. Also, you can barely compare sitting by a fire with jumping a horse this high. Not even slightly similar

    My horse is a really good jumper.. But I don't think he will make that jump. Lol It's harder for horses cuz they can't see behind it.
