Well, this is the best format for a guitar tutorial that I've seen, but according to the comments it is a worse execution. But I only have nineteen frets on my guitar, twelve usable ones, so this may actually be helpful.
Master of puppets is play in a "chromatic" scale which basically just means its played in a sequential order of half steps which in the context of a guitar just means go down the frets in order. Just hit the downstrokes from the 12th fret and go down from there.

Guys just fyi ik what the tab says and it used to be played like this but you can truly do it either way because if you actually LOOK at how Metallica plays it now, they play it like this guy is showing.
It might sound right but it’s not. It’s played all the way up until the 12th fret the way you’re doing it makes it so much harder on you. Look up tabs for it guarantee you’ll have an easier time
yeah, master of puppets is just played with the neck of the guitar, they dont strum the body of it. I don’t mind people playing it wrong if it makes them feel like they’re making progress in guitar. It can be daunting learning something new, and if doing this as a mega beginner motivates them to keep pushing, then who cares if it’s wrong? From a butchering standpoint, yeah, it isn’t what you’d want as a fan, but from a community growth standpoint, it’s good enough.
That not how you would play it. It is correct in the wrong key but not exactly. You start from the 12 fret on the E string and move down to the 1st fret.
If there are maybe newer players or those who just feel more comfortable playing half of the A string, then do your thing. People have been covering songs Just ignore all the gatekeeping bullshit and play it however you think it sounds good.
It literally for the opening is 2nd fret on the a and u want to strike both the low e and the a at the same time then jump to the 9th and 12th fret, fret the A string on the 12th and the low e on the 9th and keep the same cord shape and move from the 9th and 12th to the 11th and 7th and the 10th and 6th and let it ring out
Not only did you get chord positions wrong, you also go down the single notes with your middle finger cus at the end you also hit the first fret after the second

For most songs that would make more sense, but with how fast to have to move for master of puppets it makes more sense to play it all on the E string.
