This is the kind of weak stance that got us in the place we're in now. Too many people lay down and yield their own power to this community in the name of love. But this isn't love. It's a compromise of faith. You know gender isn't transferable, you choose to entertain this notion over someone's feelings. You can respectfully decline to use a person's pronoun of choice over what aligns with their gender. When we put feelings over faith, we're missing what our duty is as christians. It is not christian-like behavior to conform to the world. The more we compromise our faith over little things, before your know it that line is gonna be pushed back so far that it disappears completely.

If you decided to actually bother to get to know Preston’s views and his heart, you’d realize he’s one of the best voices on these topics with regards to a Christian ethic. He has studied this thoroughly and does his research but he by far practices what he preaches by actually spending time with those in whom he doesn’t agree with but loves them regardless. I’d say God is using him well :)

Show me in the Bible with three scriptural witnesses that abortion is murder. I am a Christian blk man. So I take this seriously. I can't find any and as for the world, I can find many scriptures that say the world is gonna do what they do regardless.

The scientific facts of the world is the life begins at conception. So, both the Bible and science declare life in the womb. If it is life and we end it via abortion, it's murder. Language is not flexible. Words have actual meaning so we can communicate with each other. This a weak, wishy-washy stance on this issue that spits in the face of God. Everything about this goes against His design and creation. It's despicable that you would endorse evil.

Many people don’t agree with your worldview. You expect people who don’t believe as you do to follow what you believe. The world does not work like that. There is a way to disagree with someone with love and grace yet meet that person where they are at. You want the Gospel to be shared and lived, the goal should be to allow the other person room to express what they believe. If they know you disagree with them yet be hospitable to call them what they want to be called, how is that even close to wrong?
There's something about his preaching in general that just feels off. I've not been able to find anything on the internet about it especially on RUclips, but something feels very strange.
The rule for me on all these kinds of issue is to show love both in TRUTH and ACTION. So say for example you get invited to a gay wedding. Do you go or not? To stay away is maybe to offend and lose a relationship. But to go is maybe to be understood to celebrate the union. Which is what you're doing.
Some of lean more towards truth, others action. My rule is, if you want to go, you also have to intentionally speak truth. If you stay, you have to actively demonstrate love another way.
In relation to pronouns then... If you use their pronouns, it mustnt be because you're wussing out, Preston. Explain to them your view and what you think, but that you're using their pronouns to be hospitable.
Whereas if you want to refuse to use their pronouns, you must *go out of your way* to show love in action, so they cannot accuse you of just hating them.

I just interviewed for a job that asked for my pronouns and required me to call a biological man they them. As I work in this position I am required to respect that or I risk getting blacklisted. Am I better to deny the job? Or am I better off accepting the job and winning people over with my kind and Godly conduct until I do have an opportunity to share my faith? I’m afraid there is no way for me to participate with people of my generation without being completely written off because I’m not respecting their pronouns. How am I supposed to reach the ungodly without becoming like them and feeding into their bull?

PROBLEM: One doesn't speak TO an individual in the third person, which is all these pronoun preferences address.
It's a form of speech control. The same people who are demanding this mangle of the language regarding their sexuality WILL NOT demand a foreign national to correctly pronounce their name when they're checking into a hotel in that country. Thank you for this topic. As I read the responses it seems abundantly clear that no many people have people they truly love- I mean truly love- who are struggling in THIS way (because we all struggle). When you realize that God has entrusted these people to you for a reason- to show love to so that they could be open to the gospel- it’s more of an honor to even engage in these conversations with someone in pain and it should be treated as such. It’s ministry.
In can tell you if you hope to have a discipleship effect on someone who struggles in this way you had better be committed to showing them you care for them- not just their gender and that you see them- not just their sin. Think of how Jesus approached the woman at the well. He invited her for a drink from the living well before he even addressed her sin.

I saw the title & don't care what is to be said in the video. The answer to the question is no. ANY person of ANY background should NOT be engaging with this mental disorder. I'm 33 & have lived long enough to hear the warnings growing up in the 1990's & the 2000's & those warnings gone unheaded are producing horrendous evil fruit in our society. Now they are adding "pride" colors into uniforms like baseball caps particularly during Pride month of June. Is he advising people that If they are speaking to a man who says he identifies as a female and desires to be referred to as she, her, miss, etc. then, out of politeness I must deny his God given gender and acquiesce, which in this case means I should lie. First, how are you supposed to even know if someone is trans unless they tell you? I’m a cisgender male (meaning I was born a man and identity as a man) and I wear a pronoun pin with he/him. People will go out of their way to use she/her because they think that just because I’m announcing my pronouns means I’m trans.
Second, how can you say you go off of “biological” sex, when trans people use hormone therapy to change their biological makeup? When a trans person starts hormones, they are biologically whatever sex they feel is correct.
Third, are you just forgetting about intersex people? There are so many intersex people who have testes and ovaries and have a very complicated relationship with gender identity because of the roles people like you have placed in society. There are also an incredibly large number of people that have different chromosome variations without even knowing it. It’s not as simple as XX and XY. There are many different variations that go into play in determining gender identity.
1:29 he got it backward. They're saying that you must use the pronouns that reflect their worldview or you get fired. However, we aren't forcing them to use pronouns by us using different pronouns. So his argument doesn't really apply to us no matter what pronouns we use, but it does show that that is what they are doing.

The Bible is very clear in the issue of men and women and their nature and roles. Preston is attempting to weaken the clear message of scripture in order to appeal to the current cultural moment because he fears man more than God.

I recall that Jesus had some pretty harsh words for those that lead His little ones astray.
I don't know why this is a problem for any Christian, "I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some."
