@@100stratman it depends on what kind of game type you want regarding the custom factions. If it's to give mechanical advantages, I am not sure which traits the A.I. uses best at the moment as I don't have as much experience as you do. Though a super manufacturing build might suit the A.I. fine. Another thing that might promote a good opponent, is a super research style but using the criminal trait on top. I am curious if the building that gets research based on the total research of the galaxy works as well as I think it does. And finally, the traits that gives two ships for one might also works for an A.I. as for flavor, we can't have an A.I. custome game without some common flavors: - We needs pets !! Cats and dogs !! If only to see whether they'll ally or try to tear each other up :D - We need weird type of factions: Gelatinous cubes, demons, vampires, leprechauns and whatever weird stuff your mind can think about. - A faction based on super rock stars could fun :D ( Cyberpunk samurai for the win!) - And since johnny silverhand is here, he needs his eye candy, so a faction of femme fatales is also a must. Just a few thoughts. :)

Also, wouldn't mind a full custom AI civ game ... with either a custom civ or a pre made one to face them :)
