    I just watch a RUclips video Stylist Lee Micro links on 4c hair, short & hunnay she nailed it !! I’m sold. I will NOTbe doing it my myself, #aintnobodygottimefordat 2 much work.. I’ll rather let the professional do my microlinks. Ths video was very detail & a lot. Ondibu hair is 💣.com. Thats hair is everything! CHeck out Ms. Lee, just a suggestion. Now to get it done by expert it is NOT cheap. A full head(thick) is $800 but they supply the hair. Thks boo for confirmation, microlink ✅

    I've been getting this all the time for years. But here we call it braidless sew in. When you say micro links here that what usually white ppl get with those keratin glue infused stuff. My stylist use the method you did. It doesn't take him that long to do it though. Pros it looks natural and easy to manage of you have hair that matches your hair type. You can scratch it scalp and let it breathe. However, if you sweat a lot, if it's humid your hair will revert!

    This is different from what I’ve been seeing, a lil similar to a sew-in.
    I thought micro links you attach the weave in links to your hair
    Looks nice

    • @queeannyse
      @queeannyse 5 лет назад +15

      Yes there is a technique where the extensions are attached individually w/each link....
      This is just a different technique using micro links.

    • @JUSTJUIC3
      @JUSTJUIC3 5 лет назад +12

      Yes that is one way you do it ! With the pre tip hair ! That’s micro links
      This is another way to have a braidless sewin ! So honestly it isn’t called micro links it’s a braidless sew in with the base being the micro links.

      Definitely not microlinks this is a brainless sew in. It painful because she is closing it too close and at the wrong angle.microlinks are strand by strand or weft and links only no needle and thread

  • @hiimliv3735

      It creates a base for sewing in the hair instead of having a braided base. Thus you wind up with a fuller look and all you hair is left loose. Also as your hair grows (new growth) the micro links can be opened and slide closer to the roots so you can keep your sew in longer.

    My mom did micro link on my hair for the summer and it was aaamazinggg. Definitely do not put the links to high up, mine weren't double weft so they weren't heavy. As for washing blowdry your hair and try to not tug on you actual hair so much, and you'll be straight

  • @upgradegurl

    Clip ins are easier 🤣 but the weave rubbing against your hair all day will eventually cause breakage 🙁...plus it’s not a good idea for naturals because like u said you’ll have keep flat ironing your hair that’s why I buy weave that my match my relaxed texture so I don’t have to cuz at one point my hair was collar bone length and my leave out stopped at my eyebrows 🤣🥺

    Crazy, i did a braidless a couple days before you posted this.. i find it works best when i do a keratin, and if i place the weft and the natural hair in the link first and then fold over the weft to sew down and double the track. (Less links, less time) I also like to put I-tips at the top for versatility and fullness (short bangs)

    That’s nice but seem like it defeated the purpose. Cuz Usual micro links u add the weave to the hair then clamp the link. So U basically extended ur hair in each link. I guess this is another method but if ur gonna go through the process of putting alll of those micro links in just to sew it after you might at well just get a sew in

  • @shawnise311
    @shawnise311 5 лет назад +12

    You can’t bend them up because they’re too tight. If you do manipulate them too much your hair will pop out from the root. you also used too many. You don’t need that many for a micro link sewin aka braidless sewin. These are best suited for straight hair types. You are 100% right about heat damage. I do these on Caucasian women often. Women who usually get tape ins but can’t afford traditional micro links like the wefted micro link install.

      Please explain

    • @StarrDanielle
      @StarrDanielle 5 лет назад +5

      Let me begin to say that I have fine, natural, chin length hair. I got kinky straight as my extension texture because it blended well when I pressed my hair. I feel like this style better suites individuals with thicker and at least neck length hair. I didn't like that all my hair was out. When I got it ofcourse I knew it would be. But once I experienced it I was like nahh. I just found it alot to blow dry my hair and the extensions and flat ironing both. Once they begin to grow out my high buns no longer worked because my hair is fine and shorter so the coverage of the tracks was not the same. This hairstyle is also an investment if you get it professionally done. The stylist recommends that you should get retightened like every 4-5 weeks I think, and it's extra to retighten. In addition to the cost of shampoo and styling. I just didn't see the benefit for me when I could get a regular sew in with minimal leave out and maintain that style myself with less styling time. Besides I had no idea how to tighten my own links, so I would definitely have to go to the stylist. I got caught up on Instagram seeing the girls with their bomb microlinks. 😂😂😂😂 So I tried and it was a fail. Hope this helps.

    *It looks so damn good* lmao I can tell that you loved the results. But you’re right, you could’ve just gotten clip-ins because realistically you’d have to press your entire head everyday 😭

    Girl, you look beautiful, but HELL. NO. Lmfao. I love a challenge, but I can only imagine how long this would take me. especially with my blow-dried hair? Man.... I don't need that type of drama in my life! I'm really interested in the clip-ins, though. Have you done an up-down style with them before?

    How do you maintain the microlinks? Style, curl & wash . And have you done this microlink method on any clients?

    Thank you Ivy for this video. Cuz, after watching this video and seeing the installment. I know I don't what them. Your hair does look amazing, but I don't like that much leave out. I'll just sew in a u part wig. So, I agree with you 😊.

    I’ve heard so many mixed reviews. I love wearing my hair straight and due to my dandruff I have to wash my hair frequently. I’m natural and heard they aren’t good for natural hair 😩 I think I’m gonna try them atleast once

    Aren't micro links individual pieces? Wouldn't a versatile sew in give you this same result? I'm confused....

    I do microlinks at the top, around my leave out. Gives me a flat look and more movement at the top.

    I remember doing this in 2015. I put in 2 bundles so it was like 200 in my head (too many) but it took me 2hrs i end up removing 50 but it was the best hair choice at the time. Now my real hair is more thicker and i do it by the weft now which is great for ppl with thick hair and ppl who are afraid of the the individual bead method.

      You sew in, or is it micro link wefts?

    • @MistereusBeautY

      @@feliciafelicia6965 i use the weft but i dont use the needle and thread i use the microbeads to secure the weft

    She said clearly there are many methods and she chose the threading method. Search threadless if that’s the method you’re looking for.

    I believe this is a great way to give your hair a breather from the single braids from the cane rolling from the Whigs I think it's a form of just giving your hair you know a breeze

    Omg I just saw a video on Facebook of an auto attacher for micro links. You can add the link and hair at the same time plus It allows you to install like 5 at a time 😱
    This would save you so much time
