Damn…what a loss. I’ll never forget him lying on the court after Denver had just upset the #1 seed Sonics in 1994. He always seemed like such a fun person.
He spoke 10 languages. He was quite the human being. Such a big loss
A True Hoya 🎉🎉🎉. A Great Man. May He Rest In Peace 🙏🏾
Wonderful guy. Phenomenal defender. Shot blocking machine. Plus, a great humanitarian.
A great NBA ambassador and a wonderful human being. May he rest in peace.
Great ball player but I think he was even better person all the work he really did to help people around the world was a big deal
someone that’s known outside of just basketball. my coworkers knew who he was just by the finger wag. 🙏 RIP
He was a great guy in America and in congo d.r. come on man ...what to say again? GOD know where he take him...
I am gut-punched by this too and I'm not one given to mourning people I've never even met or in any way interacted with.
McNichols Arena, mid 1990s, Alan Roach announcing the starting lineups with Dikembe and his 7 names, I will always remember with a smile.
Rest within the light 💐
Same, Roy.. That shot of him when Denver beat Seattle in the 94 playoffs. He lived an even better life.. Rest in peace.
Quality person who will be remembered as such. He added to the world and left a legacy of honor.
☝🏽
Geez... Sorry...
Who wants to bleep Mutumbo?!
Man, this has been a hell of a last week of September. Every time I turn on the TV or on social media, a person from my childhood has passed away 😢. Damn.
Not in Mutombo house!
Never average 20 ppg in his career but at least Mt Mutombo was a decent scorer like 10-16 ppg when he was most notably a defensive player. RIP
I met him on my first cass flight from Boston to Dubai. He was a true gentleman, and I got to take a picture with him.
Is Dan’s amazement about an international NBA player being embraced in their second language a criticism of US fans? Soccer players seem to do this all the time and are beloved in foreign countries for the most part…
You said it best, like a gut punch. Cant explain it any better.
Damn i didn’t even know he had cancer he looked healthy 🙏
R.I.P. Mr. DIKEMBE MUTOBO! "NO! NO! NO!"
rest in peace
Great man❤❤❤❤
Dan LeCuck
Extra extra extra trash.
