Wow! That's so inspiring! I would love to do something like that with my TI but not sure if I have the skills or persistence! Good on you mate! Cheers!
The TI is a tremendous little boat. It constantly surpised me throughout that week. If you did want to go for it, you couldn't find a more supportive or wonderful than Watertribe to take that journey with.
www.amazon.com/dp/B000LC844Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_ltd1CbC4D36X8 It is nice because it doesn't need to be held flat to be read. As a backup it worked great.
@@whiskeyoscarlimafox thank you for the info. I loved your story. Not sure it is for me as I look at the challenge, mainly because I don't have a SPOT, which requires an annual fee. I'm happy with an EPIRB and GPS
I prefer it for solo sailing especially loaded up. It is longer more stable and has more sail area. Plus when you are packing for a week of sailing expedition style with food camping gear etc... I don't know how the AI sailors did it!!

Where did you sleep at night?
On beaches or islands in state parks mostly. One night I had to spend in a hammock as the tide left nowhere to make camp.

Are you not allowed to use Mirage Drives in the race?
Wait! I just seen your drive on the tramp! Lol
@@Chepe1134 You are but I had it on the tramps when reaching. The spare was in the hull just in case.
TI instead of AI?
