Ive steered clear of the fire builds & focused a venom deadshot build that works great in the higher mastery for me. When they patch the fire i hope they rebalance the other afflictions to be more effective in the end game. Id like to see more diversity in others builds.. i seen a mastery 70 and up boomerang use freeze grenades to wreck the brutes and stop them from nuking us. So yea there is alot untapped potential
To be fair there is a lot of stuff overturned and unreturned in this game and this nerf is deserve however there is some stuff that needs a buff primarily regular gun builds feel kinda lacklustre compared to alternatives .
That's what I'm thinking now the builds going forward is going to be the tier 3 bane and crazed until that gets nurfed instead of buffing it to be on par with the fire build
It’s not though. It’s very much PvP as well as PvE. That’s why there’s leaderboards, rivals, taunting, extra rewards for getting the most damage in your squad, etc., etc.
@csmkorn1 you can't be serious with this comment when the top leader boards people farmed the last gizmo mission for 250 hours lol... Also people have been cheating using wemod since the day the game came out. Don't think anyone up there is legit. Even streamers and content creators often cheat to showcase builds ect ect before anyone else.
I think the nerf is needed because it will balance out with the other afflictions. I am concerned about the other afflictions though because when they are used on mastery level 50 plus, it just seems impossible to do any sort of damage. Also what about all the other bugs that are in the game like people not receiving the free lexcoins, not unlocking the gold outfits for reaching finite crisis 100, game not saving your re rolled gear but still takes your resources, mastery levels not unlocking, missing neck mods or lucky charms…the list goes on. I hope they are not just fixing a scaling issue and skipping over all these other things. These things need to be addressed within the patch as well.
@@somedude1324 That’s long overdue. Its no reason why a guns became basically obsolete as if this isnt a gun game lol. I just use guns to spread effects and build passives.
things will shift to the next best thing, but this is a good thing, too bad there wont be that much diversity, due to the fact that afflictions cant stack, on co op set up, ppl will be errracing each other afflictions, untill they change it so they can stack somehow without being too OP again, 4man co op wont be that much in terms of diversity
Stop saying nerf they are fixing the bug it’s an exploit/bug not a nerf. I’m just glad they are addressing this quickly. The leader boards will be reset

@@johnboe3073 yeah but if you build it up right it doesn't matter. I have 3 Villian synergy going at the same time. One gives me up %500 by keeping a craze enemy alive.. don't forget they will attack each other too. For example My venom build is master black mask rifle/tier 3 bane assault rifle..master notorious two face melee.. master bane tier 3 shield & grenade.. I'm using turtle traversal for extra 500% DMG for moving, Hugo strange neckbomb & jinx coin.. focus augments on grenade ammo drop chance, more craze and damage, etc. i survived mastery 70 with a group no probelm
You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. Nerfs always do the complete opposite d4 is the perfect example take the fun away and players will go play something else. This game can’t afford to lose anymore players but that’s exactly what is going to happen. This game won’t survive 12 months as is and with them nerfing the game instead of fixing other game breaking bugs yea it’s curtains less than 1000 players on steam after this nerf watch and learn

In addition, this game is not a big franchise like diablo, diablo lost tons of players but still have tons of players and goes back and forth every season, this game cannot afford this. What is gonna happen is that after the nerf they are gonna receive massive backlash from the community and they are gonna ended up buffing everything when it does not matter anymore. They need to buff and make the other afflictions at the same level and then tune down the masteries above 60, so at least everyone feel they can complete above 60/70 masteries. Is a win win imo. NERFING will just restric everyone to below 60 and get bore and quit@@Godsslave777

If they gonna tweak the scaling of difficulty for higher tiers then its gonna be fine.

all they need to do is get rid of the crit immunity on affliction and do something better than shield harvest on the brutes

Well it was bound to happen. Gonna miss this as it was fun but I rather have more diverse builds then one major meta one.
Hello Tripe G - Can I ask, do I have to level up all 4 characters to level 30? Or can I just play my main character into the end game and beyond?

I get why they are nerfing it but the main problem is health scaling if health scaling wasn’t so bad people wouldn’t care about burn like before

It’s not really a nerf it’s a fix it wasn’t intentionally to be this strong it’s ok as long as everything is relatively strong in there own right

They are going to kill the game I told them to nerf if after season 0 never nerf the game mid season because you will lose players and lose money
So in other words everyone abused a bug to get insane mastery levels to get on the leaderboards and nobody will be able to compete anymore lmao
