  • Welcome to today's woodturning project! In this video I'm turning branches from different kinds of wood and some black colored resin. I made a pretty (to me) bowl, that I finished with Danish oil.
    Hope you enjoy the video!

That is exceptional. Using various species gives a character you don't usually see in a non-burl blank. Probably a lot easier to source than a well dried blank too.

Great idea, great looking end result. Best of all, everyone can find a bundle of sticks or small branches👍🏽

I would have loved forest green. but the black still does some justice

I don't know...the machine was a darker green. I don't think that it would look right. Would remind me of camouflage more than forest. I think the black is nice and neutral and makes the wood pop real good.
But I guess you could do one in various colours

Wonderful piece! It's the kind of thing I could spend hours looking at. Like while waiting in a doctors office...I am always greatful for some GOOD art there. Two years ago I had a problem with my sinuses and the doc had some incredible paintings there (for purchase of course) and it was such fun looking at it...seeing all different things in it ... trying to guess the technique they used😊 sorry if that's crazy...but I take the 100 times over some weird magazine or screen time. Well😅 this one here is almost not screen time, but just enjoying art
