Or speed limits, or mirrors, and all lights look green. Dry roads and being sober can't protect one from the guy who makes it a race. Following too close is often the biggest mistake.

Apparently in Russia a lot of people think that they are immortal and/or that their cars are made of bubble wrap and marshmallows. We have plenty of horrible drivers in the U.S. as well, and seemingly little traffic enforcement where I live (Orlando, FL area).

A few times in my life Dad's warning echoed in my head like a mantra. Do not overcorrect. And I never did. He really stressed it, too. He had been a claims adjuster for a major auto insurance company back in the day. He had seen the results of overcorrecting. Not good.

These russian road videos - the only place to see a police car crashing into a ambulance and it always happens at full speed and no braking , now its impossible to go to russia becauce Putins attack on Ukraine but even if there where no war going on i would never drive around in russia - they have no brakes and they are always filled up with vodka and they all have a weird opinion on traffic rules so they invents their own , quite impossible to navigate in .

In a way that's like asking what the colored lights are for. Specialties include, 'timing' light changes, 'trying to make it', turning left from the right lane, and ignoring poor road conditions. IMO They make self-driving cars' bad rep not look so bad after all. Cheers ..

You can''t win in Russia. Crazy Drivers in city. Crazy Weather outside city. And sometimes both, both inside and outside of city. Plus you have the added risk of being shot or beaten half (or totally) to death if you are unlucky enough to hit the wrong vehicle.
Russia looks a dark , terrible driving place to visit. The highway roads are littered with crashed up cars just left in the verges or bushes from previous accidents. Not a good place to visit

I've lived there from 2001 to 2004, never had a problem driving. Keep in mind that what you see in these videos are the worse, and that everyone have a camera. It's not darker than anywhere else.
If the video was entitled "Russians driving safely", you wouldn't have watched it - but it would have been a lot longer than this video.
