Brown out are a part of daily life in many parts of the Philippines. Have you considered keeping some blocks of ice in a cooler or freezer wrapped in burlap or some type of material to slow melt rate?
***** thank you for featuring my 2nd hometown people here practice religion very well, on good friday of the lenten season as a sacrifice and religious practice we do the way of the cross on top of the hill yearly.. this is a peaceful place..and claimed to be the banana town...as far as i know ^^ i do my vacations here..looks like You came here before the towns fiesta thats why there are "perya" (the games in the market) and the students are practicing dances for the fiesta which was last sept 22...visit pototan also especially on christmas they will light up the whole park..and the park has very neat grass on ordinary days. On december it will get a little busy
No middle schools because Philippines has traditionally been a 10 year education system as opposed to 12 years in the U S. Due to that they graduate at 16 instead of 18. They are supposedly changing to a 12 year system shortly.

Alimodian looks like a nice little town, and very clean. About how long does it take to travel by motorcycle from Iloilo city to Alimodian?
